Quote:Another thing is SB and Nanos, Freighters will be spamming them like Crazy, and Not even a Osirus can keep there shields down, so I'd suggest working on that some how.
I think w/ the right number of players on either side and the RIGHT STRATEGIES, the SB and nanos shouldn't be a problem. I think that instead of limiting it down to nothing, it should be limited to a certain amount, maybe even after each stop.
And, xit, as for the respawn, I'm guessing most players would have enough money to buy a second load... I think. THe only problem would that it is hard to 'police' this, so maybe it wouldn't work after all.
Great idea though, and I think that it would be really fun...count me in on it.

Retired A very big thanks to Dark Oddity who put my signature pic together
You could have all the military clans police it and just have thim atack eneyone that brakes a rule :)

Some of us house guys might want to be in the convoy or attack it remember. :P
And Angel not sure why you can't stop them (I will not say anything might have you hunting me forever ;) ) but the NPC hessians at the sigma-13 jump hole in New Berlin stop me about 50% of the time just after I jump.

I've been mildly miffed by one-shot weapons since their implementation, oh so long ago. I remember the days when fights were a matter of who could aim better, rather than who could aim a single shot. - Virus
Glad to see that so many are actually interested in this. :)
Anyhoo, regarding the SB and nanobots, since I don't have much experience in fighting, I'll go with whatever you all can decide on.
But I do know it's possible to be disrupted in a large train, happens regularly for me. Besides I was expecting the traders to use the tradelanes through the whole thing, making it easier for the pirates.
Also it isn't that hard to kill a train, even one with gunboat shield. Even NPC heavy fighters could do it, just a matter of enough of them.

How about no cruise engines for the traders then when the lanes get disrupted you only have after burners to get to the next ring and it would make the end of one trade lane going to another a danger as it would take a bit of time to get from one trade lane to another without cruise, this would also solve the problem of "can large trains be disrupted or not"

well, to be more interresting, the traders could go through the Frankfurt system, make it more RP, I've never seen a legal trader going through jumpholes...
if they use the proper legal route, there's no need to cruise
