Due the recent changes in CapitalShips (NO nanobots), Repair ship turns a bit more useful (yay!!) but as I mentioned before, there is a problem with the Nanotool range... its only 200m!!! in a battle reparing a ship is almost impossible due we must be really really close and constantly colliding eachother.
I think just 350m with a bit more weapon speed would be better, to avoid stay kissing others ships hehe. Think the hull repair is really slow, at least allow us to keep some distance for dodge hostiles fire while reparing.

Tactical cruiser with 2 heavy slots and rest meant to serve as repair turrets?

LOL no hahaha, Repair ships should be closer to the ship you want to repair... hahaha but not too much as now!

Only Repair Ships can mount Nanotool for repairs.
Thing, which determines if turrets are mountable for specific vessel is just about some code in ini files. With nanobots removed some kind of repair cruiser could be a cool idea.

Well i think that would be a bit unfair hehe, every cruiser would be able to repair others while using heavy weapons for defense... would be a ethernal battle haha. Repair ships are good for this task due a bit more fast movements and being smaller is a bit more hard to hit from heavy ships.
