Paul arrived at Yanagi as always a "litle" too late to a meeting. This time it was an "important" conversation at Bruchsal with his favourite blonde Bundschuh nurse that lasted longer than expected....
"Always a pleasure to be with her." he thought with a smile on his face whilst walking down the floor to the Bar and Lounge area at Yanagi. "It's good to meet Eva again but she will be mad at me, again. Though, i like it when she is angry. She is even more lovely then...."
Finally he saw the entrance of the Bar with it's flashy lights. "Ja, ja. My first visit here. So let's have a look at the women and maybe one beer. Or two..." Again a smile on his face.
But shortly after he entered the Bar, Eva noticed him. "Oh my, i think the girls and beer have to wait. Eva seems to be really angry right now..." he thought and now Paul was a bit scared. "I should think about about a good joke before i head over there. Maybe it helps to bring a smile on her face."
"Guten Tag Frau Morgenrot. What did i miss other than a cold beer?" he said but Eva wasn't impressed by Paul's "joke".
"And of course Guten Tag to you, Frau...? My name is Paul Richter..."
"Ich am looking for a 'cleansing', so to say, Eva. Oh, do you mind me calling you Eva? Ich would feel more at ease if you would call me Nelly. When you reach a certain age all those fancy words and stuff don't seem as interesting anymore. Ich would be lying if Ich would say Ich am comfortable with this talk, mostly the fear of the wrong people spotting us which could ultimately back-fire for ALG."
With the entering of the newcomer in the bar Nelly stopped talking, suspicious look on her face. She followed the newcomer walking up to the party.
The newcomer came within range and said some things to Eva, slightly amused by the somewhat scared face of the newcomer who nervously joked and talked to Eva, Nelly immediately understood it was one of the associates Eva was talking about.
After Paul introduced himself Nelly extended her arm towards him for a handshake.
"Sachs, Nelly Sachs. If you have not heard of me, Ich am currently the president for ALG Waste Disposal."
Looking back to Eva she frowned.
"Would you mind if we asked if there's a private room available for us? I'd feel much safer knowing we wouldn't be spotted together. Not to be disrespectful towards you or the LWB as a whole, but Ich have an company to think about and its position in the Rheinland community."
"Oh, ja, of course Nelly. It is good to speak to you about this. I hope no one notices either," Eva said.
Paul joined the two of them. "Guten Tag Frau Morgenrot. What did i miss other than a cold beer?" he asked.
"We have just begun," Eva said while giving Paul the look.
Turning back toward Nelly, Eva said, "Ja, of course, I took the liberty of calling ein Junker friend of mine and arranging such a thing in advance, just in case."
With that, she stood and gestured for the others to follow. She nodded to a Junker guarding a small door in the back who returned her nod. With that, they continued into the room and sat at a small conference table that was set up inside.
Eva took a seat and the others followed. She asked, "Now, what specifically did you have in mind?"
Nelly sat down and Eva asked her what she had in mind. Nelly took a second to take a gulp of her drink and lit a cigarette.
"Ich want to make foremost Rheinland a better place for all to live in und after that Sirius. There's a whole bunch of plans in motion for doing so, but Ich deem it wise to include as many as possible into those plans to maximize effect. It sounded no more than reasonable in my ears to contact you concerning the biggest issue Rheinland has currently und in my opinion has priority right now."
She spits next to her and her eyes started flaming.
"Synth Foods Inc."
She leaned backwards and attempted to regain her emotions again.
"Ich believe for the best of planet Stuttgart und the health of those living on it we need to make sure they become persona non grata as soon as possible in Rheinland. With any means necessary. Yet, being the head of ALG Ich obviously cannot be seen firing upon them, und ja, Ich could always resort to political squabbling which you know is pointless with the spineless scared Bundestag ruling currently. Or, not so much as they being in charge but apparently Synth Foods."
"So, Ich would like to think of plans together to put a stop to them. Launch more frequent attacks, disrupt the trading, kill those in charge higher up the chains, anything to take them down. Do know Ich can back-up the LWB with money, if that is what you require. Ich shall find ways to cover up the losses in the accountant departments. But Ich am asking for ideas with you, seeing as Ich am nothing but a humble captain, one in charge of a company, but Ich have never been on that side und am not familiar with tactics used by those such as the LWB and alike."
"If you'll excuse me, Ich shall contact my right, or sometimes left hand und tell him to come over here. He is more prone to be understanding you with matters such as these."
She stands up and walks towards the corner, opening her neuralnet and contacting Rasmus. She speaks a few words and turns around and sits down again, grabbing her drink and lighting a new cigarette whilst looking to the pair in front of her awaiting an answer.
Looking at the two Nelly finished her cigarette. The party was silent and seemingly looking to think of solutions. After a minute or two Nelly cleared her throat looking at Eva.
"Ich don't think Rasmus will be joining, with his looks Ich can't blame him either if he were to be with some lovely girl."
She grins.
"Such a shame it isn't me."
She starts laughing which ends in a small nothing to concern of coughing attack.
Eva and Paul had discussed what all Nelly had suggested while drinking a pair of Rheinbier. Now the answer was very clear: bacon-wrapped scallops. Eva sent Paul to pick an order up while she turned back to the ALG woman.
"Making Rheinland better is a noble goal, ja," Eva said. "What sort of plans do you have in mind?"
She continued, "Ja, I think it would be good if they were less welcomed in our homeland. I like this idea of disrupting trade. We have been trying to step that up but we often times lack enough intel to put ideas into motion. Do you think you could send us traffic reports?"
Eva rubbed her chin and said, "I think we could arrange additional plans then, ja, especially if you could help us move into position better planetside. Do you think it would be possible to smuggle some of our operatives to Baden Baden? From there I think we could get to Stuttgart without problem. Perhaps some Junkers could take them from here to Helgoland und then to Baden Baden via Dortmund? I'm not sure the best routes from here."
As Paul returned to their table, Eva filled him in and the spoke another minute. "Oh, ja, maybe if we had some ships that looked like what ALG has, we could slip through police defenses better, ja?"
Gazing inwards Nelly remained quiet for a second or ten.
"Ah, our beloved und well engineered Golems. Ja, that would most likely simplify getting through checkpoints, however, the Rheinwehr has gut detection technology, so the chance remains that this could fail. Nevertheless, und not saying this because Ich don't care, but that would be out of my 'jurisdiction' anyway."
She grins.
"About those plans, ja, it would be a culmination of events organised throughout Sirius, that would eventually led to the demise of Synth Inc, und perhaps others on the path of destruction. About acquiring those traffic reports, that would be one of the first steps, one Ich shall have to find out. But apparently corruption has a stink to it und thus easily detectable. Getting those reports shouldn't pose that much of a issue."
Frowning now.
"However, getting you onto Baden Baden seems a tad more difficult, too many witnesses, which ultimately could backfire upon ALG, seizing the plans we are forming all together. This would be a rather tricky situation, something Ich am not 'qualified' to think of. No offence, but after all, you're the 'bad guys' in the picture, this should be something more to your way of thinking."
"About the Golem, Ich believe Hans, my chief security officer would gladly help out on this, whether we leave him oblivious where the ships are going, or not. Perhaps you two ought to meet und discuss the terms. Ich don't mind putting them up as stolen und claim the insurance. Hah, we pay enough of that as it is anyway."
