6. Other interesting events
I started patrol around Java when a distress call was sent out by =CR=Flamewing in which there was a fight at the Tau-29 jumphole with another =CR= pilot, an Independant Miners Gunboat named "Riff.Raff" and the battlecruiser [IMG]Endeavour were fighting 2 Outcast Destroyers named Ange~Noire and Silent-Hunter.
When i arrived the Endeavour jumped to Tau-29 and started to taking heavy damage from the destroyers although its targetting seemed to be getting knocked off many times since the Outcasts had to resort to ramming him, a very short time later the Endeavour was taken down aswell as the Independant Gunboat and the =CR= were forced to flee.
after they regrouped in Tau-44 i resumed patrol of Tau 23 and shortly after encounted a CCS pilot named Tiesto.Riveria piloting a Falcata and i engaged the target. the =CR= also joined the fight and shortly after he fell to my guns. After the fight i set course back to Java for repairs and re-armament and was surprised to see the salvaged remains of the Endeavour being towed to Singapore Shipyard most likely for repairs
enclosed is a blackbox image of the take down of Tiesto Riveria:

re: Trade report and the 'Exiles'
While at South Shields, I noticed a guild request from Falkland wanting mining supplies. I made the jump to Tau 31. Our esteemed leader, Peter Barrington, was patroling near Java and agreed to escort me. It is not everyday that we transports get protection by a gunboat, so I felt it was a god opportunity to make several runs of mining machinery back to Falkland carrying Niobium back to Holman.
While in T23, we encountered a pair of Albatrosses! They were broadcasting an IFF with the handle Exiles|. We approached and they claim to be a race of humans from the old Sol system that was late getting to Sirius and the IMG in Tau 44 took them in. They claim to be 'protectors' of all the IMG. Mr. Barrington and I spoke with them for a while and they seem serious. I personally don't mind having a few friendly ships parked in the Taus taking out pirates and Outcasts. I just hope they don't start attacking the Bretonian authorities and make our situation worse in this war. We must remain neutral in this conflict.
So be on the watch for 'Exiles'. They claim to be friendly protectors of the Guild.
4. Hostiles encountered
Bulldog - Outcast in Lane Hacker Gunship
Hatred - Lane Hacker in Gunship with Rouge IFF
Bruce.Dickingson[101st] - Border Worlds bomber
5. Casualties on both sides
Bulldog Fled - the Outcast Fled as i was too fast to get a lock on
Hatred - Fell to Renegades Battlecruiser
Bruce.Dickinson[101st] - Fell to my new sidewinder missiles although was confused weither or not he was docking at the time
6. Other interesting events
I started patrol around when i encountered Mr Quigley being escorted by a Colonial Remnant fighter named Baal whom departed for his homeland once Mr Quigley reached Java. shortly after Mr Quigley loaded up cargo bound for ALG allies base Dortmund.
we departed from Falklands and proceeded through Kusari with no problems at all and soon as we jumped to Sigma 13 and shortly encountered an Outcast named Bulldog pilotin a Lane Hacker gunship whom then proceeded to gain 5million from Mr Quigley and since that is an extortionate amount of money and i opened fire upon the Outcast and tried to make him switch targets as soon as he opened fire on Mr Quigley.
I managed to get his shields down when Mr Quigley managed to jump through the hole shortly followed by the Outcast and myself but by the time the Outcast jumped Mr Quigley was docking with the trade lanes and thus the Outcast switched targets onto me and we engaged again but luckily i was too fast for his guns and after i got his shields down again he jumped back to Sigma 13 and i then caught up with Mr Quigley at New Berlin again.
a short time after we got to New Berlin a warning was broadcast over all comm channels of an incoming Dark Matter wave, we docked at Helgoland station after making our way there to protect us from the oncoming wave then soon as it passed we proceed to Omega-49.
Once in Omega 49 Mr Quigley dropped off the goods and we proceeded to take Deuterium to South Sheilds with nothing out of the ordinary happening except a Zoner and a BAF arguing. We got the South Shields fine in which we heard the Trailblazer from the R+D section needed escort to Freeport 4 and i proceeded to escort the Trailblazer along with mr Quigley to Freeport 4.
shortly after arriving mr Deacon Huges arrived and docked with the station which was just in-time since a Rouge gunboat and an Outcast decided to crash a conversation between a Lane Hacker named Phate and the Trailblazer and demanded that the Trailblazer pay him 2 million aswell as that he was not following the 5k rule
after a few more words later and the Trailblazer recruiting a Bounty Hunter named Renegade, who was at Freeport 4 at the time, to help us in the fight we engaged Hatred first leaving the Outcast alone untill the Trailblazer said the Outcast was a bomber and asked us to engage it in which i switched targets and started the attack on the Bomber. shortly after i started to engage the bomber Hatred started to flee and Deacon, Renegade and the Trailblazer pursued leaving me with a big open window as the Outcast followed seemingly forgetting i was shooting him with missiles, a mini razor and my vampires.
Soon after i inflicted damage to the Outcast, Renegade managed to take down Hatred
the Outcast looked like he was docking with the Freeport which left me confused as i didnt want to hit the station so i broke off and he just stopped suddenly and faced upwards which looked like he was preparing to make a run for it so i taken the shot and fired
as you can see i was left a bit confused when stating that he had docked since you cannot dock literally on top of the station itself.
and here i am now in Freeport 4 typing up this report after a long day of escorting, Ian out.

RE: Patrol Report
Mr. Davies,
Thank you for you detailed report. If Phate of the Lane Hackers did indeed attempt to pirate one of our vessels, and if it was within the no-fire zone, then we have a signficant problem.
I hope Director Kyan can provide some additional information about this situation.
*java sends out what looks like hundreds of rescue vehicles to perform search and rescue operations*
a short time later the ships start sending in escape pods continuosly for the next hour, most of which had "Battlestar Rubicon" on the side
*a man stumbles (clutching his arm along with severe burns to his face, arms and torso) into the Java station's bridge seemingly just arrived on one of the escape pods*
"Get me IMG GuildComm....NOW!" he shouts at a newly recruited crew memember who was horrified at the injuries on the pilot
"god this is going to be a long report" he said while giving a big sigh

well it all started after a Storm had gone past and i undocked Java and soon found out that those Outcast scum, the CCS, started increasing their activity within Tau-23 and soon outnumbering me 1-4 i asked for some assisstance and Mr Barrington undocked at Java.
After we formed up and the CCS kept insulting us to try and get us to fight them an independant fight named John.Tri.Volta un-docked from Java whom thankfully was fully IMG so we proceeded to make the Outcasts eat their words and engaged them. Shortly after they started falling like flies with Mr Barrington and mr Tri.Volta taking down a few with relative ease whle me and Flamewing (who joined us mid-fight along with =CR=Torpedo although another Outcast named Cobalt_Raven also joined) paired up to take the last 2 down while the last surviving member of the CCS fled to Cali in-which mr Tri.Volta and Flamewing pursued but shortly after getting to Cali i detected 2 Outcast destroyers arriving to fortify their base which was the beginning of the end for our tiny squadren of 5.
Soon as the 2 Destroyers got to Cali it seemed like a neverending supply of Outcast reinforcments as ship after ship after ship came jumping through the holes (see attached images) in which we was virtually fighting on two fronts, one Outcast fleet was at the Tau-37 jumphole and the other fleet was at Cali, luckily though we had a few reinforcments in the form of the Battlestar Rubicon and 2 more viper pilot's named =CR=Kamov and =CR=Narvie. And once the Battlestar was ready to jump in we started our engines and engaged the overwhelming fleet.
the first target to take down was one of the 4 destroyers named Silent~Hunter, he and another destroyer named Ange~Noir seem very crazy and dangerous as they proceeded to continuosly ram the Battlestar Rubicon (see attached image), whom then fell a short time after due to a constant stream of fire from all of our ships combined with our very own Mr Barrington managing to finish off the Destroyer so now there was only 3 Destroyers, 3 Gunboats and alot of fighters and bombers left to deal with. soon as Silent~Hunter fell to our guns we went straight for the another Destroyer named Ange~Noir but with the Rubicon getting destroyed shortly after Silent-Hunter there was little hope we could manage to do any damage against it and thus i changed targets and managed to take out one of their bombers in a very short time
Mr Barrington was the first to fall in the onslaught afterwards and i managed to take out one of their bombers but then it all seemed pointless as Flamewing, John.tri.Volta, Narvie and Kamov soon fell when i noticed that =CR=Torpedo was making a run for Tau-44 and i soon came to help and managed to distract a few of the ships on his back and he made it to Tau-44...sadly half of the Outcast fleet also followed him into Tau-44 when i was doging fire from everyone else since i was the only last IMG vessel within the fight...my ship was destroyed a very short time afterwards
Unfortunatly my ship taken some damage and i was not able to retrieve all images of our Enemy's downfall but these are the kills i did manage to retrieve
and that was the end of a horrible night within the Tau's for the IMG, now im going to report to sickbay and see what i can get done about my wounds...if they have enough room down there.

RE: CR-BAF Hostilities
Greetings All.
I have the unfortunate duty of informing you that hostilities have been resumed between our guests, the Colonial Remnant, and the Armed Forces of the Bretonian Empire. See the following public transmission: Message to the Colonial Remnant.
From this moment, it is the policy of the Independent Miners Guild that no IMG vessel under any circumstance is to be involved in CR-BAF hostilities in any way. This is between the Colonials and the Bretonians, and does not involve IMG. Should any IMG member at any time be prompted by either CR or BAF to engage in hostilities, that member is to refuse categorically and to report such a demand to Guild leadership.
Any member found in violation of this policy will be expelled from the Guild.
IMG vessels should avoid Bretonian privateers wherever possible, but IMG should not be targeted by them. If there is trouble with the privateers, capture images and report immediately on this channel.
Observations of CR-IMG hostile action can be reported on this channel as well. We would do well to stay as well informed of developments as possible.

RE: Defence Statement
First of all, let me thank the GuildMaster Peter Barrington, as well as the rest of the directing board for giving me the opportunity to command and coordinate the defence forces of the IMG during this time of hardship. I cannot begin to describe how honoured I am to be given this elite position within the guild. However, with this position comes a lot of work that requires immediate attention, so unfortunately this speech of mine has to be cut short to get down to the chase..
From our most recent defence reports, it is most evident that Outcast activity (particularly in the Tau 23 system) has in fact increased greater than original reconnaissance crews estimated. Recent figures suggest that activities around Cali Base have risen drastically, to over triple that of our own around Java. With our current defence training and number of fighter pilots stationed in the system, we may not be able to hold off a full scale assault on Java, should the Outcasts obtain enough resources to do so. So far the Colonial Remnant have been able to support us in the majority of our engagements, but we should not use their great charity to the point where we are constantly dependant on their forces to adequately defend our bases.
It is with this information that I request all IMG stations to help with the defence of Java station in any way possible. As I speak, reserve craft from our less frequented stations are travelling to the Taus in attempt to ward off this threat. Furthermore, I am currently creating with the help of senior fighter jocks as well as Mr. Barrington himself, a draft offering advice and guidelines on fighter tactics and roles, as well as information on formations, doctrines and loadouts reccomended under certain situations. Finally, I have ordered the construction of a new capital ship to further protect our space, using steel and other alloys derived from our own miners and smelted by our great South Sheilds Refinery. It is of my belief that these initiatives will help give us an edge over the Outcasts. However, it will take some time until these projects are fully realised.
Not only will the defence draft take time to complete, publish, standardise and then train pilots on, funds allocated for the construction of new ships are low, and completion is expected to take weeks. It is with this knowledge that I reccomend all IMG craft not to attack hostile vessels unless it is absolutely neccesary. It is also advised not to provoke enemies into engaging whilst in close proximity to our own bases and transport craft. We currently do not have the resources to continually replace ships and pilots lost from battle, so our future fights have to be chosen carefully, cautiously and out of neccesity.
Over these past weeks, we have been able to valiantly defend our stations in the Taus with a loyalty and ferocity feared by the Outcasts. Soon, the tide of this situation will turn, and we, the Independent Miners Guild, will flush them from our space in which they will never return.

RE: Initial tests of Drone 471
Initial field testing of my updated drone are promising, thus far. Conducting simple mining operations in the niobium field outside Java, it has shown remarkable efficiency, surprising even me with it's capabilities. The installation of certain IMG equipment, coupled with my original designs, has proved to be quite successful, and I must commend the technicians who woked on the upgrades.
One word of caution, tho; seeing as to how it is only a basic AI, it is easly confused. It would appear that someone fed it misleading data yesterday, as it came to me with some garbled phrase of which I could make neither top nor tail.
Now, if only I could get used to the controls on this fighter...

RE: Defence Statement
Mr Hargreaves. Due to the increase in attacks from Outcasts, I am willing to move the Trailblazer to Java, and push forward with the creation of the Explorer gunboat "Icebreaker", available for all Explorer pilots to use.
Hopefully these measures will help us gain an upper edge when attacked by Destroyers and other Outcast Capital ships.
