Everything gets old, you can't get them back by simply listing their possibilities, they don't need it.
Many are tired of the game itself, "many" are pissed off by Disco's overall course, some are short on time to play and so on.
What ended up bringing me back was a YouTube video I stumbled across that featured a Hessian Raid on New Berlin. It brought back a lot of good memories. I think more recorded events and exposure on Media platforms such as YouTube and Twitch would drive people to give Disco a second chance. As well as push new players to give it a try.

- What trading routes are there now?
- What major factions have changed in diplomacy
- New active spots?
- I'd like information about new factions and weapons
Might offer a bit of help and insight into something like this.

Good ideas as well. I will give the OP more thought and update soon.
I guess I'm not sure exactly how one would classify a veteren, but having dropped in today after about a year I struggled with finding things to do.
So, I think there is certainly value in what you're trying to do here.
I make a point of the actual game being my focus as opposed to the forums, so I didn't notice this thread until after about 2 hours flying around failing to engage with traders busy making credits or military ships ignoring my transport of prisoners and various odd cargo.
The two factions you have with content don't particularly appeal to me, but the format the information is in and the type of advise is really useful in my opinion. I would certainly try out a whole bunch of new things if it were fleshed out further. I may even try some DSE stuff having always thought of them as boring.
Thanks for what you're doing. I, for one, appreciate it.

I appreciate the post BOB. I'm going to develop the idea more.
As a long time player, the most annoying thing to me is the long travel times between activity pockets. Unless you have chars spread all over the place, it can take a lot of time, and usually the travel ends up not even being worth it, with the activity moving off to somewhere else, people logging off, F1 to another location, or feel like not talking.
Also, it's always a problem with disco that at least half of the population online at the time is not much interested in any interaction and they usually just fly off to do their random business, everyone in another system. With less and less people around, finding anyone to do anything with is quite a chore at times. Especially if you're not into getting a tag on and sucking the same few people's imaginary parts in a closed off circlejerk environment day in and day out.

A solution to that is having events hosted with the ability for players to use a temporary event ship /restartme_eventship that will expire after the event.
