I may severely dislike you, but damn, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I do hope for your father, and that your family comes through this trying time a closer-knit, even more loving group.
Some good news. After a lot of - practically weekly with a break afforded during immediate christmas period - meetings with doctors, specialist nurses, surgical operations minor and more important, things appear to had moved since. If everything goes as expected on operation less than week from point of this post (1st February to be exact), my father will be free of cancer and will only require to continue and finish mandatory chemotherapy sessions to make sure it's 200% dead and gone from the system.
My father is stressed, naturally as this is the single most tough operation he will be going though ever and had neither really experienced procedure of this kind in his life. It is however the last stretch and under care of best surgeons with expertise in this particular type of operations in the country. So I am confident I can slowly prepare for our lives to return to normality over the next coming days as my father will simply undergo recovery rather than count the days until the scalpel, locked out of most physical activities and independent source of income.
This also means you will see far more of me around as the biggest burden on our family life so far will be cut off. Will propably post the next update concerning how well he goes on with the op in February.
I wish you and your family the best, Omicron. Nice to see there is a positive prognosis for your dad. Also, nice to see the outpouring of support from the Community.
Glad to hear things are having a bit more of an upside for your father and the family. Wishing all the best for your dad and hope you and your family are breathing a little easier now.
Hope all goes well with his operation in February, mate.....
