Indeed, that was a good speech. I'm fairly new to the Freelancer communtity, but you had kinda come across as not-such-a-nice-person. I really think that you have turned over a new and powerfull leaf here, and i hope you fell as good about it as the rest of us. I certainly dont hate you, and i doubt i ever will (hard to hate someone thats got soo much confidence)

Glad you admitted to these points my friend. I thought I had already seen them in you during those "discussions" ingame.
Good to have you working on getting rid of those characteristics. I'll be there with you to help you with this, as i've tried in the past week (a little).
I'm surprised you actually listened to what I had to say...
On the other hand, to quote a great bard of the past and a wise man in sayings:
'Talking isn't doing. It is a kind of good deed to say well; and yet words are not deeds.'
As I said, only time and your actions can tell.
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
This is a level of maturity I hope a lot of players will aspire to here. We constantly maintain a community full of young-bloods and veterans, both in the in-game sense and also in real life, so conflict is inevitable like Onca says. The things that keeps us all together are mutual respect and our combined love of Discovery.
I've never had a run-in with you, though I've consciously avoided doing so at times, so I don't think I'm the target audience here either. What I will say though is thanks for sticking around and trying to adapt yourself to the community, it does take a strong character to do that and strong characters should be welcomed here.
I just hope you can remember to stick to your word at all times, repentance is just the first stage ;0)
The most simple thing I can say, to a well thought out letter that you care enough about yourself to tone down the obvious flaws which alot of us has, is this.
We all have our flaws; however, it takes alot more than just a clear head and a great amount of willpower to admit to them, let alone fix them. So I will say that no matter what you have done to create such hostility, hostility is likely only set upon in response to hostility.
So all in all, it all comes back to what is as time long ago; you will always be treated as you treat others, and you will be recieved by others, by how you recieve them. So to change who you are, take alot from within, but it is but a small step to admit you are wrong.
A much greater step to undo that wrong. Good luck in your endeavors in this. :)

My whole goal to this! Being an "outcast" of the community is not worth it when it comes to those flaws. I would rather better myself and be able to play and be friends with everyone than continue on the past path and remain an outcast. Which would eventually lead to my quitting.

Well said both in our conversation and here. I don't expect instant results with this, it will take time but eventually everyone will know I'm not BS'ing.
@Hoodlum,
Not only my conversation with Nightfall started this, when I read your post about you discussing with the other clans on my status as a member of the community, it really hit home that I had to be doing something wrong. (Reason I started talking about it with Nightfall)
Dark, That takes some large cahones mate, and I'm more than willing to accept your
apology, and I hope you will accept mine for being my usual pain in the forum.
Something one or two others can attest to round here.
I believe you and Nightfall had a long conversation last evening, and while I am not party
to its content, I trust his judgement in all things game related.
I hope we can both move on with just the future of The Discovery mod and the roleplay
involved for all of us, as our main aim here.
Thank you for your honesty and candour.
