but now we're geting off subject. i would like to know about the buy/resale ratios and about changing them.

OMG yus! *points up*

I do agree that the ratio should be a bit higher. If you want to use the used car as an example, the ships we are getting are rarely new and would be sold at market value which wouldn't change that much. Plus, I feel that anything that pulls us further from having to power trade and more into good gameplay and RP is good for me.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

I'd make the most expensive stuff lose less of their worth for certain. Especially armor upgrades and capital ships. Say... 10% loss? Smaller stuff like fighter guns or even cap turrets aren't that bad anyway - you lose a mil at best.

that is obvious, but takes time and is not immediate.

i would enjoy to see the sell back rate increased a small bit.

Oh no, you cant have immediate satisfaction!? You actually have to talk and deal with other people on the server and contribute to the RP player eceonomy!? Wow, that sounds horrible....

Sorry for the sarcasm, but really why would you want less people contributing to the player economy?

In terms of the used car metaphor how many used cars have been shot at? Also I think space can cause wear and tear on a vehicle than an atmosphere, radiation, asteroids, hauling strange and potentially dangerous cargo, some of which may have been accidently left behind.... I wouldnt want to buy a used ship in Sirius....

Well obviously i didn't understand what you mean, I really would like to be corrected though and not just told off. I apologize for offending you my comments were rash and poorly thought out, that's what I get for posting before I eat anything I guess... Could you please explain your comment so a small one minded thinker like myself could understand them?

Here's a question.

Why NOT have the buy/sell ratio equal?
