I can confirm all assets you had deployed to Cortez have been safely moved to Liberty to begin re-fit.

They have been duly moored at Norfolk and the engineers and techs are working in unison to ensure everything goes to plan. In honor of this agreement and the continued alliance between Liberty and Bretonia, I'd like to proudly inform you that the ships are to be re-designated as follows and in honor of Bretonian convention:

• LNS-Invincible - "Invincible" Class Dreadnought
  
• LNS-Vanguard - "Dunkirk" Class Battleship
  
• LNS-Furious - "Fortitude" Class Battlecruiser
  
• LNS-Gibraltar - "Crecy" Class Destroyer
  

They'll remain moored until such time as we can begin field tests and determine their role amongst our Fleet, but I'm sure they will serve us well in the years to come.

While I still have you on the line, I'd like to make a passing remark, Fleet Admiral. Naturally, as a Fleet Admiral myself, I maintain a solid working relationship with my counterparts from both the Security Force and Liberty Police. Officer of the latter have reported that various transports of your Merchant Naval Fleet have been flooding the emergency channel quite recently in the Republic. This must be kept minimal, unless in the event of an actual emergency. I will leave this to your sound judgement, but just relaying what I've been told.

In hindsight, I should have brought this up sooner. Though, the memory has only just been brought back to serve me.

In any case, should you have any further enquires regarding the vessels, do let me know.

Esteemed Fleet Admiral,

Thank you once more for the swift actions taken in regards to our agreement. The engineer teams will be able to oversee repairs for our own vessels in the following days and thus allow them to enter active service after many years spent in drydock. Should you require anything else related to the capital ship transfer, inform me at the earliest convenience.

As for the Merchant Navy's operations, all I must say is that there is no such thing as "emergency" channel. The system-wide communications, used both by Merchant Navy ships and others, are primarly designed to inform other present ships of notable events. Ships bearing the MN's banner have thus far only used the channel for informing other ships that a convoy is passing through the system, a matter I believe is most understandable and in line with the modus operandi of other such fleets operating in the Sirius sector.

As for the matter of your Merchant Navy vessels, respectfully, I'm just passing along what I've heard. I can only inform you that the corporations of Liberty don't conduct such practices, though I can appreciate there would be differences in the normal standard operating procedures between civilian and military convoys.

We are very much glad to see that the Liberty Navy is interested in extending our agreement of cooperation as it greatly helps consolidate trust between both our militaries and our respective Houses.

However, at the current time, the Armed Forces do not possess nor do we hold any interest in procuring the "Defiant"-class Gunboat, due to several reasons, such as the Churchill's combat capability outclassing that of any other gunboats currently in active service of the other House militaries, among several others. In spite of this, we can proceed through with the request and offer the Liberty Navy, as per the requisition, one such Churchill-class Gunboat for the standard price paid by the Bretonian Armed Forces. Such a deal will ensure that the interests of both parties are fulfilled and not put in danger the already-agreed deal for the capital ships.

Please let me know if this is agreeable at the earliest convenience.

Your terms per your communication are agreeable. Courtesy of a remaining budget for such agreements are still in use and I would very much be interested in taking advantage of that fact.

While I, personally, aren't overly familiar with gunboat combat, there are Officers amongst my Fleet that very much are. So such an addition to our Fleet would be a welcome, and very effective, asset. If you can forward the appropriate costs and I'll have our treasury department take care of getting the required funds to you.
