EDIT: I was thinking, what if we added SL ships to disco, not as flyable ship but as wreak models?
The Coalition should reinstall their old models of Torpedo bombers ship.
Make it unable to have guns, and 5 torpedo slots: One is a SN, and all 4 others are Nova torpedoes.

"You do the mission, we'll take care of ze fight fighters, Forty Fifth!"
"Screw you, I'm gonna be top of the killboard!"
I liked Steiner. He was a cool guy who was tortured and then kicked the bum off of that armor plating on the Borodin allowing me to kill Kulov. :D

"It's the Krasnaya! A class 2 Carrier!"
"Reliant Control, get out of here. We'll hold them off."
"Negative, 45th, our jump engines are shot. We'll have to make a fight of it!"
"What else is new...." <----- So true....

I've never played this, but now I want to. I only saw the intro on YouTube, which increased my hatred of the Coalition even further. They completely violated a peace treaty! The Alliance wanted peace and the Coalition wanted power, which, unfortunately, they got in the end.
*pant, pant, end of rant*
Please excuse that. A bad history with communism will do that to you...I know it's just a game, but certain hatreds just run too deep to ignore.

I think it is designed to play on the western racial steryotypes of all chinese and russians being communist. With just small hints such as a red star on their ships and the pilots having russian accents, it is supposed to give you a picture of a communist, even though there are no actual mentions of communism or people calling each other "comrade" (yet another cliche used by producers to make people sound like pressganged red army soldiers).

There was mention of them being totalitarian in their control of public opinion and dictatorial governments styling.

A dictatorship/totalitarian government is by no means confirmation of communism, as these government attributes are by no means exclusive to the communist ideology.
EDIT @ Montezuma/Kukulcan: There is reference to them calling each other comrade in SL.
Coalition pilot: "You will pay for killing our comrades!"
