Recipient ID: Captain Regia Reznik, Commodore Christopher Edwards
Subject: RE: Introductions
Captain Reznik, I am Admiral Tanner, Executive Officer of the Forty-sixth Fleet. I have read up on your and Commodore Edwards's communications thus far, and as you have been very blunt with the Commodore, I shall be very blunt with you. The terms of your surrender are not negotiable, and they are as follows.
The Total and Unconditional surrender of the INS-Yorktown, its Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, staff Officers, and Crew.
If you agree to these terms, you shall immediately surrender your vessel to the TFA-LNX-Akhetaten and its escorts. Upon which your vessel will be boarded by armed Marines; You, your Command Staff, Officers, and Crew will be taken into custody, where you and the aforementioned members of your crew will be subject to a Military Tribunal. It is my duty to inform you that under a Military Tribunal for high treason, those accused will be subject to one of the following.
Death by Firing Squad
Life Imprisonment
Specified term of Imprisonment
Taskforce Akhetaten's Commanding Officer, Vice Admiral Maria Uhmen, has been instructed to await your response.
Skipping the usual pleasantries and mincing words. Good. I'd hate to wear a mask on deception at this moment. I'll keep to my manner of speaking bluntly as well. There are points I disagree with but I'll spare you my antics - we're not here to exchange opinions. Our intentions remain unchanged, but I'll allow myself to make but one request. If someone has to part with their life - let it be me, and me alone.
Your orders have been received, acknowledged, and in due time units of Task Force Akhetaten will be assigned with the following orders;
The complete stripping of the Yorktown of her Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Staff Officers and all Crew.
The arrest of the aforementioned personnel and safe transportation to the facility that will handle their respective trials.
Seizing control of the Arbiter-class warship and safely bringing it to Juneau Shipyard so the on-board staff can begin with the necessary procedures.
To remain in stand-by should any help of any form is necessary during the aforementioned procedures.
Captain,
I am not in the position to grant you your wish, neither tell your odds at having it granted. The most I can do for you is forward it to those that will have to deal with you and the crew of the Yorktown.
