Actually, if anything I'd say cruisers are properly scalled, and BSs are also close.

If you look at the really old promos, everything was bigger, planets were bigger, stations were way bigger, space was bigger, but BSs were the exact same size.

Its not so much of them being small in my opinion, then it is FL fighters being absolutely huge, a starflea probably sits about as high or higher then your average one story building.

Proved in docking videos.

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom

Ah but Jinx, I came from a mod that had Star Wars scaling.
Fighters that were well, blips compared to the massive Star Destroyers.

Everything was scaled down, except planets and stations etc.

The only actual difference that would be noticeable if you scale things down would be that it would be harder to hit another ship.

The shots of a weapon will still go the same speeds and distances and will still reach the exact same spots as they did before the scaling.
The speeds of the ships don't change at all.
All that happens is that you are essentially smaller, but still go at the same speed etc.
The only difference is the size of the model.

I'd love to test this all out with you though. It does actually work perfectly, the last mod I came from (Tides of War, before the merge with Freeworlds) had possibly one of the most balanced and fun pvp systems I've ever enjoyed in a game.
With all the scaling done too.

Harder then it is now?

That would render fighter combat impossible.

Ok, let's start with fighers. Seems fighters are properly scaled to each other, as well as to freighters so let's move on to capital ships.

Judging by the size of windows and other characteristics we can clearly say that gunboats and cruisers are properly scaled to battleships, but all these cap ships are too small compared to fighters, e.g. fighters' cockpits are the size of caps' bridges.

All capital ships are too big compared to planets and moons. If they were made properly scaled to fighters they'd be at least as long as planets are thick.

Stations are too big to planets.

Planets are too big to stars.

It's all quite messed up and therefore, I think, impossible to fix in a reasonable amount of time.

Oh, and it took me nearly 1.8 billion to buy my battleship, equip it with weapons and 4.0x armor. It's not exactly what you'd call cheap.

Considering that about half of all of the cockpits in the game could easily hold 3 - 4 standing people comfortably, I don't think that is an issue.

It is. Compare the models again. People in capital ships must be like...4 times smaller, common sense.:P

I did, and the only one I saw that might have some scaling issues is the lib dread, and even then you would have guys ducking there heads at the most.
