reading your OP, I`m sure you`re the type of guy this server could use. what`s your trader character`s name? I can send a small donation, curtesy of the Maltese slaves *evil laugh*
Well, if you still need some advice, the thing i did when i first joined, mining, you can even mine some silver at colorado with a starflier, and sell it at manhattan, keep doing that, then get a ship with more cargo, then get better and better till you have like a decent ship, then you can start trading, well, this advice is to all the new guys in disco, hope it helps...
Later you'll have a real comfy way out of a situation where a lazy youngsters asks you for a mil.
Yes, Listen to him, thats very true, I hate it when people come up to me while i'm in my carrier and beg for money, you'll see it when you have a big ship, other new people, just beg, thats to EVERYONE, DO NOT BEG, PLEASE!!
If the prices are the same, I belive Precharon (or how its called, the bretonian transport) with 2600 cargo is sold for 12,5 mln on planet Leeds. Perhaps its worthy for you to check it out.
Oh and a hint: Dont forget to create a pirate character then you'll have enough funds:D:D:D
But always remember, piracy isn't really an effective methord of gathering money, cause generally, it requires a number of traders travelling through your area, which can change, and the fact that if you are a house pirate, you'll get attacks from the lawful forces with a steady frequency.
I just joined about a month ago, best thing I ever did? joined a trading faction. They get you started out pretty good, hteres a lot of roleplay, I would recommend a Zoner trading faction such as OSI, they give you some pretty decent startup money, I'mm not saying you won't get pirated, but you will get pirated less.
In terms of better RP, go for some of the house corporations, they probably get pirated more, or join the underworld and become a smuggler, although I wouldn't know too much about that.

But you have to admit, being a pirate is the most funnest thing you can do is disco, hands down. other than RP of course.

Course it is, and when it is done in a good way, it can often end up enjoyable for both the trader, despite the loss of credits on the trader's side, but it can get boring when there's no traders there for ya.
