How does one get the hostages in the first place? 'Buying' them doesn't explain anything.

I recall seeing someone in a fighter jettison either passengers or tourists outside Manhattan and then turn and shoot them all. Nobody nearby reacted at all.

Exactly. Some folk used to have fun by shooting NPC battleship, capturing the admiral NPC onboard and pretend, oh look, I captured 7 of your admirals, come get em or they die.

what ship were you useing youd need a freignter to really make any decent hostige rp as they would probly be dead in an airless fighter cargohold(unless there somehow airtight which would jump up production costs)
