Firstly sindroms i mentioned earlier that i wasn't really looking for a transport. Not everyone can be rich enough to have one of those right?
I am going to have a look at all of these ships that have been mentioned. Flying to where all these are placed should give me a pretty decent map for me to start my unlawful activities with.
[font=Fixedsys]Bactrian[color=#FFFFFF]Clicky for Piccy 4 Turrets, all Class 5 - 4 Guns, all Class 9
12000 Base Armor
530 Cargo Space
80/80 NB/SB Smaller hold, and it's quite big and sluggish.
Not all turrets fire everywhere, but it has quite nice forward firepower.
[font=Fixedsys]Camara[color=#FFFFFF]Clicky for Piccy 6 Turrets, all Class 5
13000 Base Armor
630 Cargo Space
85/85 NB/SB Nice hold, small size and it's pretty agile.
Turrets fire pretty much everywhere too.
No real drawbacks with it, but you can't mount a Cruise Disruptor, contrary to what the inofcard says.
[font=Fixedsys]Combat Service Freighter[color=#FFFFFF]Clicky for Piccy 6 Turrets, all Class 5 - 3 Guns, 1x Class 8, 2x Class 10
15000 Base Armor
500 Cargo Space
100/100 NB/SB Not sure how the turrets can fire, but that's pretty much the beefiest Freighter I know.
Two Class 10s are a nice touch, and it comes with 100 Nans each.
It's not the fastest of the lot, but propably the toughest.
[font=Fixedsys]Correo[color=#FFFFFF]Clicky for Piccy 4 Turrets, 2x Class 4, 2x Class 5 - 4 Guns, 2x Class 8, 2x Class 9
15500 Base Armor
510 Cargo Space
85/85 NB/SB Smaller hold, and the weapon mounts are slightly lacking.
All turrets fire forward and back, and you'd get to use Corsair weaponry on it, so that's a nice bonus.
It's got the highest armor rating of the lot, but it's also rather slow and sluggish.
[font=Fixedsys]Dromedary[color=#FFFFFF]Clicky for Piccy 5 Turrets, all Class 5 - 3 Guns, all Class 8
9800 Base Armor
650 Cargo Space
65/65 NB/SB Nice hold here and it's quite agile aswell.
All turrets fire to the rear, if that's your cup of tea, and it gets a Cruise Disruptor.
Drawback might be the size, it's relatively "bulky", a flying grey blob of sorts. The armor and NB/SB counts are a bit on the low side too.
Come to think of it, they're all big, 'cept the Camara.:/
How smuggling can be fun, if your not risking to loose 4 000 000 sirius credits worth cargo?... (Crdamine in pirate train)
Besides if your going to smuggle, mostly you gonna try to avoid any contacts possible. So thats much from the RP. Here you got to be sneaky. Perhaps a few dialoges with outcast and rogues, but thats it..
' Wrote:It is. ITs role playing, not powertrading contraband. Also, you might not want to use a camera, It's more of a corporate transport.
Hm, so what you saying is that its impossible to roleplay a smuggler in pirate train? ...:wacko:
You can have great fun in a huge ship as well. Remember myself running from the RM. The big thing you get frustrated then you stuck in the TL's.. anyhow. I managed to shack them for a bit. But the thing was so intresting, I played like my ships engine broke down to give them a lchance to catch me up agian.
Still remeber smuggling prusuits in bretonia and.. hmm
If your ship wont be seen, who gonna catch you?.. and if no-one will be going to try to catch you, what is the point to smuggle the good in the first way?
Well the point for me is the fun of it and yes i am going to get caught. Seriously i am not used to carrying contraband.
And yes i believe you can RP a big ship but i want to do something rather rare. I want to RP the small fish in his freighter. Instead of the big fish in his transport.
what about the armoured transport? it has about 800 units of cargo, is fairly maneuvarble, not as big as the usual transport and can defend itself if its attacked due to its really heavy armour. it doesnt feel much bigger than the other proposed freighters here but offers a lot mor protection if its going to get chased.
