I was going to try to avoid a stats discussion but this is not a high end transport. This ship was designed to be just slightly larger than the Freighter class. (approx the same as the armored trans)
The stats I had in mind for it were...
9 class 5 turrets with the ability to fire forward and aft.
This would be a perfect smuggling ship. Pirate trains i used way to much, and frankly people are most tired of them.

Forget smuggling, with those stats it's a perfect cargo pirating ship!
EDIT: Agreed with the cargo bit.

I like it! its something new and different, yet it doesn't depart from the overall feel of Freelancer. :cool:
I can see it now;
"The Wanderer; an independantly manufactured transport often favored by smugglers and traders with illicit agendas because of its copious and well shielded cargo holds.
Also seen in use by legitimate traders seeking a sturdy vessel that can survive a pirate confrontation, but often used by pirates themselves to transport larger caches of loot."
I suppose it depends on what faction it can go into to know what you can use it for. Im thinking junker...but they already have alot. Any other smuggling or semi pirate factions? OH how about the mollys?
Did you take a look at all the other Pirate Ships? I mean in Transport, Train, Rogue Bomber etc. They are all bulky and have edges. They are not round. So i'd say it doesnt fit to the line :/

I think it's supposed to fit more into the civilian line (though the unlawful side of civilian) than the pirate line.

It's not meant to be of the pirate/Rogue line. I was asking for more varieties of PTrans in another thread, but I forgot which one. This would go some way as to filling a gap in the market. Making it fairly generic on the black market would make it a nice choice for factions that would feel... 'silly' using Rogue manufactured tech.

That is pretty much the exact intent of this ship. Many think of your ship as a declaration of allegiance, while that is not perfectly true, it does create difficulties for those players who want to do freelancing. This ship is simply one part of an entire unlawful civilian line I want created. The vulture (see appropriate thread) is another part, although it may be to slaver oriented.
