Xeno Terrorist ID
Pilot carrying this ID has joined Xenos. Xeno ID owners can attack any lawful and most unlawful ships at will and participate in military operations on unlawful side. Xeno ID owners are not allowed to ally with lawful forces or demand cargo from traders; also, they are not allowed to use capital ships, super heavy fighters, transports, and liners.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters
Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.
Thus, Xenos are NOT allowed to demand cargo, and can shoot anyone with a lawful/unlawful IFF/Tag at will.

Xeno Enemys listed from game: Outcasts, Liberty Rogues, Lane Hackers, Junkers, Bounty Hunters, House Police, House Military and House Corporations.

What does this mean? It means when I am flying my Xeno, anyone with a trader ID and one of the above affiliations WILL be killed. Why? Because you may be a trader but your still an enemy of mine.

From my understanding, playing a NPC faction you are suppost to act like them? I dont think the NPC xenos care if your a trader or not they'll still shoot at you if your enemys.

Yes but the Rules state:

Quote:7.11 Owners of Terrirst IDs have a right to attack:

- Trader ships that do not pay for passage
- Everyone else

7.12 Trader ships are: freighters, utility ships, miner, transports, trains.
Pirates and terrorists have a right to deal as much damage as they see fit before demanding money, but killing trader ship before demanding money is not allowed.
Attacking traders or demanding cargo is not allowed for cruisers and battleships, unless cruisers and battleship belong to Terrorist ID or Phantom ID owner.

This is why I say we need the rules padding out to clear things up as these two quotes from the game and 2007 rules obviously conflict at the moment.

As a player I hate being attacked without warning in my trader but I can see that those who want to do that should be able to. Is the Xeno terrorist ID the only faction ID (Apart from Phantom Terrorist which can't be used by anyone but the Phantoms) to allow such attacks? If so amend the rules to include this as an exception to the rule allowing the holder of the Xeno Faction ID carte blanche to attack and kill without mercy. Seems easy enuff to me LOL.

As I said, Forum rules override in-game item rules. Whether your pirate or terrorist, you can't kill the trader without asking for money. Xenos can't ask trader for money. Can't ask = Can't kill.

Where in the Rules (2007 Version available on the Forum) does it say that Forum Rules override ingame info cards or item rules?

I'm not being funny or sarcastic here but this is the second time I have been quoted something (By a different guy I would stress) that it seems should be known by 'empathy' 'cos it aint written down any where I can see.

I remain willing to eat my hat if I have, like many men before me missed the bleeding obvious somewhere along the line (Its a baseball cap actually with NY on the front and I doubt it will taste nice no matter how I cook it or what I add to make it more edible so you'll forgive me if I hope I aint got this wrong ;-))

hmm...funny...Xenos cant have transport ships, cant kill transports or demand money, cant have anything bigger then VFH...what they CAN do then?...and why the hell they are even called terrorists when they cant do ANYTHING...
oh yeah..they can go around and kill with out warning....KILL WHO???...8 of 10 players on server fly in caps or transports....

Well...i have Xeno char...and i DO ask for money from traders (i call it "support" of Xeno cause)...i DO kill traders.... i protect space that i consider my turf from any lawful and unlawful force...and i NEVER got any complaint for that...i simply do what NPC xenos do...and they DO attack traders and they DO ask for cargo...

i know about the rules and they are in conflict...so i use logic hoping that rules and ID cards will be set right soon...

Just curious. What occurs when the Terrorist ID in question is a "Coalition" one? Generally, you would say that the coalition literally want to cause as much havoc as possible (for obvious reasons).

Thus, I'd say it was within RP if they shoot anything that moves, regardless of the players affiliation.

Demanding money for safe passage should be limited to pirates, but not being allowed to kill the traders? I find that quite strange...

Am I mistaken? or do both the server rules and the Xeno ID agree that it is only cargo that Xenos are not allowed to demand?

From the Xeno ID:

"- Trader ships that do not pay for passage."

referring to who Xenos are allowed to attack.

it then says:

"-Everyone else"

-this is vague, but good for players to make creative role play with. Xenos have a special interest in killing foreign corporations operating in Liberty space. However the rumors in the Xeno bars also say that Liberty corporations are just as much at fault for the plight of the common Liberty worker that it is the duty of a Xeno to attack these corporations as well. I believe there is even a rumor saying that Liberty transports should be killed quickly and spared any suffering while foreigners should be punished unmercifully so that they never come back.

Later on in the same rule set:

"Pirates and terrorists have a right to deal as much damage as they see fit before demanding money, but killing trader ship before demanding money is not allowed."

So as a Xeno, a player must never ask for the items in a traders hold, but only for money. This demand must occur before the trader is killed i.e the Xeno player can do as much damage as he likes before making his demand as long as the demand is made before the trader is killed.

Abuses all our beloved Xeno players should avoid (these are things people are not prevented from doing by the rules, but should nonetheless avoid):

1)Moving outside Liberty and its Borderworlds of Cortez, Magellan, Galileo, Kepler, Hudson and Bering. Be a real xeno and concentrate on Liberating Liberty from the Corrupt Manhattan government.

2)Usage of a bomber. The two bombers found in the Discovery mod are in no way associated with the Xenos. Furthermore the Xeno ID disallows usage of the ultra very heavy fighter-which is in fact a step down from a bomber.

3)Docking anywhere but Xeno bases. Sure you can dock at Zoner bases, but unless you are smuggling with a freighter you should stay based at Ouray, Nome, Alamo and Barrow.

A PIRATE cannot kill the trader without asking for money or cargo. No matter what you see in the ID, always follow the rules stated in the list here on the forums. Just because it IS shown here, and not shown in game, doesn't mean the rules don't apply. You MAY attack a trader before demanding money from them, but you cannot fire the killing blow without asking for money.

Man, do you listen to yourself? A terrorist, by nature attacks military and civilian targets at will, he can ask money from traders if he feels like it. I don't know how do you read the rules, but this is what I understand by reading them. And about pirates, they can open fire on you, collapse your shield and almost kill you, then ask for money. They can ask for money before they shoot at you, their choice. Still, the pirates can't kill you before asking for money. If you refuse, usually you're dead. That's what a pirate do, pillage ppl for cash. A terrorist don't have to justify his actions to anyone, why he killed this one, but left the other one alone. He can kill who he wants, when he wants.
And Dab, about the can't ask = can't kill, is just an error in your judgment.

Regards, Hylden.

Well It really sounds strange indeed... There are a lot Pirates and Terrorists that do NOT ask for money before schooting... I think it would be rediculous that Xenos (terrorists) are not allowed to Pirate traders... come on that sounds like nonsens npc Xeno do it so why Players not ? that is roleplay isn't it ?

For Smash... Blood Dragons are terrorists btw no pirates like Exile said... But yeah they Pirate you and kill you and stuff:)
