Actually, nerfing caps would drive the kind of players who fly them for Pee-Vee-Pee values into other ships, and the people who use their caps as RP platforms are unaffected. But, seriously. Battleships should be able to chain fire light mortars? 'ell No! Uh, I really don't see any need to turn Battleships into invincible gods of the battlefield.

depends on the style of how enemy fly your bomber
if enemy just decides to come in waves and spam SNACs outside your Solaris range, your dead, you can maybe dodge 1 or 2 at max per wave, but most of them would hit because the strafe speed is nerfed.

PvP is also part of RP, especially in BS, usually you don't hunt ppl in BS, you will be attack by ppl. and i don't really see anything bad about a BS has something like 30% of their slot can mount LMs, that's the kind of weapon they are suppose to be using. plus, having LM = uber? i doubt that very much. LM is only good for anti-cap.
if your definition of RP is just chatting, why bother to play FL? just use Instant-text-messaging program to RP..:wacko:
and i am thinking you have bias on players who plays on their BSs. following the generic idea of : whoever flys caps are lolwuts, caps should be nerf to be the wost pvp platform ever (not as bad as transport just to be "nice")
yes, there are alot of lolwuts with caps, but that doesn't mean we need to nerf caps.
Mini-Razor is not included, only above average player can effectively use Razors, we should make fighter vs Bomber just like Bomber vs caps (average player should effective use it, not the ppl who snacing enemy fighter out of sky like nobody's business, not the ppl who using MR as their primary weapons on their fighters..)
Shotgun sounds cool, and LF's could use a sniper rifle type of weapon, but other than that, no. BS spamming LM's would make cruisers more useless, GB damagedoubled makes fighters useless, and BR's DO NOT need a speed buff.

uh, Cruisers should dodge LM's no problem. The BS primary now makes Cruiser useless, high dps, high-refire.

not chain fire with 6~8 BS primary
2 shots per second with way higher dps
DPS: 16,000/8,000, with 42,000 Powerdrain per second, with a damage efficiency of 2.625 Hull per Energy

Hmm, wow, Light Mortars do 21,500 more damage per second. Yes, they are much less accurate, but under the proper conditions, that wouldn't really matter.
It takes 2.34 Liberty Primaries to do as much DPS as a single Light Mortar. Oh, and it takes 1.56 Cerberus Battleship turrets to do as much DPS as a single Light Mortar.
Light Mortars are the most effective Cruiser Anti-Cruiser weapons. If you don't have crappy aim, then cruisers shouldn't be able to dodge them.
Battleships don't need access to the current Cruiser weapons. So, now that I'm done with my anti-change rant, I'm going to leave this topic alone.
