It is a Freelancer, not a Neutral ID. Entirely up to you to work on the rest of your rep board.
There is no way on earth the rep is being ninja'ed to neutral to everyone I'm afraid, no one would fly with
anything else.

I'm not playing factionlancer. Don't make that assumption. I'm just confused because my character hasn't stepped on ANY toes whatsoever. It isn't reactive, apparently, but proactive, because if it was reactive then I'd still be in the gray for everyone.

edit: Further more, I'm slightly offended by the fact that you (Unseelie) are treating me like I don't know squat. I know how to affect faction rep, I just don't know why I am automatically hostile to a bunch of factions when I haven't even interacted with them, or their allies, or their enemies, save to stop and buy stuff.

edit2: Thanks hoodlum. What I needed to know. I'd just like to know now why, considering the fact that I've not stepped on toes, I have multiple hostile factions automatically.

You are not automatically hostile, those are still the default new character settings, like I said, up to you
to work on the rest of it. The Freelancer ID does not mean you are changed to neutral, it means you have chosen to fly as one.

But if those are the default new character settings, does that not mean they they are automatically hostile? I'm not, I haven't shot anyone. But as soon as I ventured out of Pennsylvania on my way to the Barrier station, I was attacked by liberty rogues. They were automatically hostile towards me for some reason I cannot comprehend.

I didn't choose to be hostile to anyone, and have chosen complete neutrality so far. Shouldn't that count for something?

Your choice to be neutral? Fine, earn it like everyone else has to. You currently have a default rep board, same for every new character on the server. Now you get to play with bribes and missions until your rep board is done the way you want it.

The default char setting leaves you as a normal citizen of Sirius.
Meaning, most criminals will want to hurt you.
Meaning, most lawfuls will go eh at you.
Meaning, all guard factions will want to hurt you.

But that doesn't explain the fact that I start with half the galaxy -aside from Guard factions- hating me. I defy you to find a SINGLE VALID RP REASON for that fact. It is nonsensical to be hated by all of these factions, many of whom I hadn't met until they started shooting at me, when I haven't antagonized them.

You tell me to work for it. If I haven't killed anyone, if I maintain my RP as a neutral pilot, then why should I be penalized? By not killing anyone, by staying neutral AS I SAID I WAS, then I am working for it through maintaining my RP. I don't see the point of shooting up a trader just so that people like me more. That breaks RP. However, doesn't it seem bizarre that I, or anyone making my choices for that matter, should be forced to bribe people to neutrality or shoot at their enemies when I haven't done anything to antagonize them or help their enemies in the first place?

edit: @ Linkus, thank you. That is a constructive response. Instead of going "OMG WORK FOR IT MORON" you provided reasons for it to happen. It still seems a bit odd for me, but it makes more sense.

Got it. I guess I'll just have to live with the irrational hate. </3

This is not NeutralLancer, you get to do the work if you want that status. We do not do a neutral start rep
on this server, never have, very much doubt we ever will.
