Ini only removes the line.
Nova? Nova deals 80 thousand of hull damage, which is equal to 430 swarms. You think it's 4 times more powerful? Have to disagree, cause a skilled fighter pilot can avoid swarms effectively (I think). I tried a single swarm against nomad targets. It deals significant damage, true, but not as much as capship weapons do.

It is a lot easier for a fighter to avoid a Nova. In fact most targets not immune to missiles will be fast moving.
Swarms are as difficult to avoid as cruise disruptors, (i.e. almost impossible, especially against ships with no countermeasure). It's probably the same code. They look the same.
They can be fired as single shots (highlight in the weapon list and click fire) or as a repeat (hold down the weapon number key). It's the number repeat that does the damage (obviously) and looks spectacular.
I wouldn't expect it to do as much damage as a cap ship, but in present form it's more deadly than a liberty bs missile turret. And the only skill required to use it is being able to count numbers on the keyboard.
It's a lovely weapon but needs an ammo restriction. Even 50 would make sense, as it would garauntee 8000 hull damage to a target very quickly (in less than 2 seconds).
EDIT: I can confirm that the new ini works, although I had to remove swarm from the gun mount. It will now only mount on the torp.
Here's what I mean about the ammo. It appears to be expecting ammo.

When we first set up the 4.78 box, it was loaded with a BETA release. it has *NO* users whatsoever.
We could have given anyone and everyone $400 mil and let you guys play with it.
Igiss, from here on out, why don't we seet up a beta server, and test any new bug fixes on it using dummy accounts ?

I think you've just shot down your own suggestion, sadly. Players would rather continue with the proper characters than test on a beta server.
To ensure folks use it, I think beta testing on the main server is the way to go. But what we need is more time, and not to rush a release to TLR. I think 4 weeks minimum for this, 4.78 is a big development and on the whole Igiss has done a fantastic job. There are hidden secrets in 4.78 I think many of us have not yet seen.

I noticed something. The Marsflyer is completely unbalanced. has 6-7 guns which can take a fighter down in literaly 1 second from 1500K away. Its as manuverable as an Eagle, and has a hull better than the Titan, comes with its own sheild and weaps (which happen to be the best in the game), and only costs 11mil. If we keep this ship you sould at least up the price to that of a battleship, because that is how powerful this ship is. It could take down a battleship without losing its shield. Even me in my Eagle couldn't beat Nesa's. BTW Nesa dont say anything here about *me*. That was me yesterday.
Granted, the ship is fast, manuverable, has kick-ass guns, shields, and thruster, but I doubt the ship could get away from a fight with a BS unscathed. I was in that ship, engaging a Kusari patrol. This included a Destroyer, two Gunboats, and a handful of fighters. The fighters were downed easily (Well, as easy as one could expect with them jumping all over the place... Kusari ships are really f***ing annoying), but the gunboats and destroyer were a little harder. All told they brought down my shields on more than one occasion, but thats where the armor upgrades come in. To be honest, anyone can get those.
Frankly, it's not much different from some of the other Super Heavy Fighters, it just comes with the guns you want. Not to mention the lack of a minedropper or torp/cruise disrupter hard-point.
This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren
Honestly, just keep everything the way it is right now, We've already done the Beta Testing, and yes we missed a few things thats why in 4.79 they are going to be Fixed, Where all just going to have to deal with it.

Dab, you are quite right, I have warned Igiss about this. In my estimation the Marsflyer should cost 80 million, not the 14 million which it is currently. It is almost as powerful as a battleship. It is very unbalanced, but does require a small amount of skill to fly well.
On the one hand I like it, it's well done, and feels special, but on the other hand it doesn't feel like a freelancer ship and every fighter pilot will want one, making all other fighters obsolete. It would be like going back to the old days when everyone flew eagles.
At the moment I say keep it but I suggest for future releases give it some restrictions:
1. Remove its countermeasure mount making it more vulnerable to missiles. Remove the mine launcher as well.
2. Reduce cargo hold to something really small like 10.
3. Increase price to maximum possible (80 million minimum).
4. Reduce armour.
5. Sell it in an unusual, exotic place that's difficult to reach or where no-one usually goes (won't make much difference I know).
You might think the Marsflyer looks good, but when I fought the Nomads in Major with Nesa, using the swarm pods, my Avenger made the Marsflyer look pathetic.

If it made the Marsflyer look pathetic, then why do you care?
Its just a ship. I think its fine now. Maybe removing the Mines... But not CMs. That makes any chance at all it running from a losing battle(even against some NPCs) impossible.
The marsflyer thing made me real desperate. I hoped that someone did get that one during tests. Well, silly me. Time to release third patch. Or is it 4th patch? I've lost count.
Why remove mines, or cms? Just make weapons of that thing more balanced, that's how I see the solution. And at the same time reduce damage of a Swarm. How do you think?
The mod was not uploaded to TLR yet so we have some time now.
