... how about the picture of Naru on page 1 in chapter 102 (in Tokōbon 12, pg. 108) Incidentally, this is the same book that Keitaro shows up "Seta-fied"

doesn't show as much emotion as Chapter 17, page 12 (based on HERE)

And this one for Leonardo would fit well too: CLICK HERE for a reference point (since he's supposed to face right, you could mirror the image, I guess)

But I was still hoping for the original plan of having Fiolina Germi (found her name now) from the Metal Slug Series portrayed as Mila.

And the male doesn't HAVE to be Keitaro... just looks like him. I haven't read any more mangas other than Naruto, so I don't have any better references.

Is my sig still even in the process of being made?

Seriously, dudes. If you think the criteria is too grand for anybody, why not just say so? I didn't put there "Monumental" if it weren't so friggin... uh... monumental. I can always decide to scale it down if you asked nicely. I'm not some totalitarian emperor you know.

I also agreed to pay for awesome works with a ton of credits... also, since the server's back up, I can NOW send the payment if you ask.

I'm a man of my word, guys. The winner CAN and WILL get 200M credits. Is there a bigger price for a sig this hard?

uuuuuhhhhh....

Are these exact pictures going to be on the sig?

cause if they are, then NO! because the guy doesn't look... sad at all. Same goes for the girl, and not only that, but don't you think she's a bit... you know... cheeky?

Also, she doesn't fit the bill. She doesn't look similar to Fiolina Germi at all... doesn't look compatible with the guy's animation too.

Here are some pictures for some reference points:

Fiolina Germi for Milarosa... Damn can't find a sad portrait

Another form for Milarosa... the girl on the topmost section... the crying one

Leonardo... the guy on the bottom-center, emphasizing the head

You may use the pics you submitted if you want but... I'd think they'd be a bit... weird

Although it's a test image, it shows great promise.

somethings I'd like to point out:

Are those the only pics for the two characters you know of? They're just start-off pics I gave, so some originals would be great... but I can't deny the effect you made with what you were given was amazing! good job.

Also, the left background kinda seems... uh... not really depressing. Maybe if it were like Alaska or something... I Liked the green there, cause it was intimidating... Maybe fill it up as well with asteroids. Throw in a huge planet looming in the plain too in each side, to complete the effect.

the ships are also too pronounced. Maybe make them more part of the background, make them smaller. The nomad ship's pose is... it just doesn't look right with its engine staring at me.

The borders kinda do seem flashy... would like them tuned down a bit.

Oh, and lastly, the center-cut shouldn't look obvious... Was thinking the character-heads would cover that line, but you could also fuzzy it if you can't do so

Overall, it's 1/3 baked... But of course it's a test-image, so I'll give it time. But it shows promise, at least.

Yes, I lack both the time and inclination to go delving around in the world of anime for different pictures. Besides, those pictures fit very nicely.

I can try, you said nomad-ish so I went with the pink/purple of Omicron 99.

If the characters are big enough to cover the whole middle line, there's barely any room left for anything else.
