3. Lost Houses Mod

Going off of a similar idea to the Exodus Mod - here, instead of using POW ship that tried to follow the sleeper ships, we use the other sleeper ships which were assumed destroyed. There were a total of 8 ships, five made it to sirius, and the gallia to the area just outside of sirius, that leaves two ships which were supposedly destroyed in the coalition attack. These two ships could have simply been heavily damaged and limped into an area outside of sirius.

Once again, the primary idea is that these ships arrive in a very bleak area of space with few resources or habitable planets, and end up fighting over what little is available.

Gee, where have I heard that one before... even this past week, perhaps in a chat that you were in for some time today? Sarcasm aside, if your modders like the idea, we do need more modders...


I also second what AJ says, though for different reasons... if you do something other people want and you don't want to do it, it won't go well. Find a concept you want to do and work with it.

I came up with the "Lost Houses" idea a day or two ago. Tenacity didn't put it as well as I'd have liked.
The idea is for there to be a dystopian, desolate "end of the universe" feel to it. I could explain more, but I don't feel like pontificating at this hour.

Right, the idea came up in our 250as dev chat before you guys ever made your post =P

Personally, I think either the exodus or starlancer 2.0 ideas are the best, but none of the devs in our team really want to do a starlancer mod... so I guess we'll probably go with the exodus thing, and do something along the lines of sprolf's dystopian/bleak feel.

That being said there's plenty of room in a Sol mod for trading/mining/etc. Just need to expand on the universe and the thoughts on the same a bit! You could have oodles of fun.

Its the primodial of Freelancer, it has greater potencial. You can add unlawfulls in it, mining and trading that support both sides, a bit of nomad early presence, etc.
