Freespace 2 was a great game, and one or two designs loosely based off it's designs is.. fine.
But this thing looks exactly like the Myrm. I just don't really see the point to it...
"OMG MODELLING IN MILKSHAPE?!
BURN IT! BURN IT!"
This, too.
However, far as actually constructive criticism goes, lengthen the cockpit out forward more. It'll look less awkward then. Once you're done that, do some heavier detailing on the torp/engine pods and it'll make a pretty good Waran replace.
I really do suggest getting a modeling program. Milkshape is a pipeline tool, and a fairly buggy one at that.
Metasequoia is what I use.
That being said, criticism:
WAAAAY too many polys on the pods. You can get away with maybe fifty on each. The fronts are a bit bland, and once you try to texture them you'll find that it just doesn't look right. Round them off and make 'em bulge.
Conversely, the rear pyramid things are under-poly'd. Do something wild with them, make them interesting to look at (Anyone flying it'll be staring at them anyways).
Give it a clearly defined cockpit window, too.

Treewyrm Wrote:all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.
Well this was just a first attempt, to test myself on how well i could do. I don't plan on furthering it, but thanks for the advice.
As for a modeling program...i have Meta, but gave up when i couldn't figure out how to get the front/side/top views, it only gave me a 3d view >.>
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
