Point flew totally over your heads. What Corsair is trying to say here is 'kill the techchart with fire' and 'buff trading so I don't have to grind to get anything I want'.

How much per hour is reasonable?
As a thought experiment how about we do this: A single route between Newark and Manhattan that makes 800 mil per trip.
Any objections?

I already made a rant thread over overzealous withholding of pixels from people, and in light of the SRP closure (which should have been a community choice, or at least received a forewarning)
Constant nerfing of moneymaking processes discourages me from trading at all, which, in turn, dwindles my bank account, which forces me to trade an excruciatingly boring route for a handful of millions. Remember when one run got you thirty million? You're lucky if you get that in an hour now.
I say we simply change our thinking now, and avoid those problems altogether. Make the GAME less of a struggle. Less grind. Less rage. Less tight-minded restrictions. More openness (but within realistic bounds) with pixels. I don't want the good old days of LPI Battleships, I want a modern option that appeals to as many people as possible.
The funny thing is, we, the community asked for all these things. And the Admins gave them to us.
Be careful what you wish for, reap what you sow, yadda yadda yadda.
I have to say If i saw LPI Rheinland BS's now it would put me right off playing. I like to see Rheinland BS in Rheinland and Corsairs in their own little world. Adds some sort of sense and a little realism to the whole thing, Man we would have GRN BS sitting outside Manhattan and worse
If people starting running around with any old ship and tech they like it would make a mockery of Disco and the numerous people who have spent time reping thier characters, aquiring the correct equipment and RPing it through.
I must say, the money making is pretty fast, 30M for 1 hour of mining is really fine for me,
You need basicaly 2 hours to get a fine gunboat, and somme more hours to armor it,
For a comparable ship in EVE you need weeks if not months of intense mining, in every other mmo i played you need 10x more time to earn a comparable amount of money, and offen you don't have any particular way to earn it, must hope a lucky drop and sell it for high price, we are really lucky to have Mining and trading here.
After all you have to work to get what you want, otherwise everyone would be flying BS with cap 8 armors, and this would not be fun at all

Cannon: No. You're taking my point and exaggerating it. A reasonable amount for an hour of time you could be spending doing something else would be nearer the 40-50 million range. A way to make that less abused would to make it a long route. Pan-Sirian routes.
Thexare: Do you have any screenshots from .84? I cleaned out my drive after about 1500 screenshots, but I can remember some weird stuff in them.
Everybody else: You're ignoring my constant "Let's keep a cap on the realism" point. I don't want to "Make a mockery" of Discovery. I just want people to stop being so stuffy over a game.

Nothing useful. But although weird stuff happened then, I do recall a few sanctions for blatantly wrong ship/ID combos like your LPI Rheinland Battleship example.
