Take a shot, you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

Well ok, but yall are missin the point.

Why. Why do the outcasts like Nomads? Why. Why. Why? Otherwise I wont be able to make an effective biography...

Since your going to be doing alot of mission grinding and sitting around the Ranseur is ok.

Raids on corsairs are rare and either completly lack luster or are fighters only for the most part.

As for Tau 23... Rocks are not a Ranseurs best friend. You'd be better off in a Sarissa if you plan on operating in the Tau's.

Kursari... Stay out since you're going to be in a capital.

Bretonia and Liberty see above.

Really the best advice I can give you is be a Corsair. You'll get more millage out of a Corsair Cap than you will with an outcast cap.

Funny, you picked the wrong one.

The Outcast BS, not the dreaddy. Bit sick of Heavy battleships.

Thats why my sarissa will be 80% + solaris...

I think it'll be a fun experience to try the extreme polar opposite end of the spectrum.

@Cam:

That's up for you to decide for your character. I'll just bring some points. Firstly they're pretty much the only a relatively notable force in Omicrons who don't attack Outcasts. There are many who threaten Outcast homeworld, and adjacent systems got plenty foes (GMG, Corsairs, BHG, etc). However the Nomads aren't one of those. Although reasons for that are unknown. Suspicious? Yes. Outcasts' position on them would be generally a cautious one. Nomads don't trouble Outcasts, and Outcasts wouldn't want to add aliens turn hostile on them either. It's political and military sense. What would the get by starting a war with the Nomads? An additional war front, stretching their military power between several foes. That would be very unwise move.

So, overall, I would say there are several general approaches:

First and probably most common one by now would sum up in acknowledging Nomads are alien specie, but this group occupied with other matters, like trade and conflict with the Corsairs, etc., as such Nomads nearby is something they got used to seeing on occasion around. Outcasts are also aware that Nomads are fighting Corsairs (and BHG too) too, which would add a little bonus towards the aliens, whether considering it a support of the Outcast side in the conflict or simply pragmatical "enemy of my enemy...". Here in Omicrons they've got common enemies. But that doesn't make them best friends though.

Moving on there is a "worship" approach. I would say it belongs to a radical minority, hence not a common thing, say some unorthodox and may be superstitious characters. It's an interesting path, however like any other it also got it's pros and cons. Nomads have been near Outcasts for a long time, but there is little known about them, which turns into myths and tales, forming a little part of folklore, and that is where vanilla game bar rumor comes from I reckon.

A scientific/political approach exists, either as a part of "worship" or completely separate and not having religious roots at all. In this one the Nomads are essentially the first contact, first alien specie humans met. To that group preserving non-hostile is important so that they may learn more about the Nomads who are nothing like humans at all. There is also extra motivation, a pragmatical factor is having an ally in Nomads would make Outcasts more powerful, and may somehow turn the tide in the Omicrons conflict in Outcasts' favor. Also Liquid Cardamine as a vector of great interest.

Now some wouldn't trust the Nomads, after all they're aliens, difficult to understand and generally do not like visitors far into their systems, but out of reasons stated above they would just keep the distance. These would simply ignore Nomads.

Would some be outright hostile to Nomads? Perhaps, but such cases would be very short-lived as that would be considered wrong by all the others, causing more damage and potentially igniting another war. People don't want that war. Such radicals would be exiled and without Cardamine their fate is very certain.

Obviously these aren't the only ones that could be here, but I think these are most common variants. These are the ones I saw in-game.

The Nomads themselves are reluctant, on a rare occasion they do help but mostly are staying out of getting involved. What's their position on the Outcasts? Who knows...

Why to make one more enemy at your doorstep then you can live with it. Ech? But don't understand it wrong. Respecting something is not worshipping. Now why nomads are less agressive against them? Well, one of the theories would be (as I red in the vanila developer side notes left about nomads) is that DK left Malta for nomads. Cardamine is one of key components which changes DNA therefor helps lil baby nomads (which they are now) to envolve. Yet to efficiently use the cardamine, nomads needs to evolute quite a way themselves.

Outcasts use the drug. Their DNA is changed already into the similiar way Nomads would change most likely (same evolution might have diffrent effect on humans and nomads). That's why nomads recognizes them as, well, lighter than rest of the humanity.

But I don't know. In the end I imagine outcasts should be wiped out once Nomads would want to take over whole of the cardamine resources once they evolute to the way they could use it for themselves. Or maybe humans and Nomads might live in peace? who knows? There is one thing known - outcasts might have the key to answering this question.

Now couple of tips. Outcasts are kinda supremacists. Means .. well they think that they are better than the rest of the humanity due cardamine dna change.

Jameson (leader of 101st) is the guy who has the biggest weight about entire oc npc faction and you should listen to him or atleast don't make him mad.

OC capitals are banned from some of the places by OC commonwealth themselves. (not sure about other houses, but about liberty - there are no doubts)

Also. Outcasts are neutral with Bretonia. (Not allied)

Have a nice stay.
