True, but on the other hand, people always find ways to abuse any feature you implement. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad feature. But yeah, don't like the idea of cloaking devices, they should be rare and if you'd implement them, everyone would have one.
I believe cloaking will be implemented sooner or later.
Discovery may be different than all other mods but sooner or later you have to catch up with the general average and be different after a spec point.
Interestingly, this year is coming up with many space shooters. When discovery was first around, the genre was a bit out of the "love" of developers. Now, shooters getting an attention again. There are several titles coming up, MMORPGs mostly and most of them are F2P.
Like it or not, even with the community, you need new stuff and advancements. It is also the reason of trolling being in increase, because of not having any advancements in game or oorp wise - in construction.
Therefore, cloaking, mobile docking etc will all have to be implemented sooner or later. Balancing them is a pain? Sure. But it is not impossible.
Of course, nothing is forced upon a free-will contribution team, but then, every stuff has a consequence regardless of the goodwill of developers.
Mobile docking is on the list for 4.86, and testing is taking place on that.
Cloaking is not.

do I only see that many against a device cloak, but does not understand why? that herein bad? Yes. Let who that utillizes it in mercenary aims, but herein and there will be interest....
