Razors are quite awful when it comes to energy consumption, don't need math to know that. (AND you'd use 3/2 pulses for the shield, wouldn't you...)

Also, snac on a transport shield is somewhat of a waste except on a heavy bomber with a nova -maybe-. Bomber guns are much, much more efficient to down the shields at the least.

Yes, but having a SNAC is so nice for when the hedgie doesn't have armor. Free ore in space!

Eh, I used to insta armorless Heges around Dublin with a Nuke-ram + SN combo, once their shield was down, there was no way they could survive such damage... But funny how even having AU1 would save them from that!

But yeah, back to thread's main point: GB Turrets in ganeral (Compared to Snipe turrets like Razor and Pulse) have more DPS if you manage to keep on target all the time, so they're mainly good only for when you're chasing someone or the other ship is slow enough for you to glide around it. In any other case, I prefer Cerb + Pulse loadout... Works much better than any other loadout for me, in any situation.

Good, that tactic should work againt indy miners. Try to do the math againt 2 hydra, and 3 nyx defending a mining area.

The tool takes everything into account except counterfire and evasive maneuvers.

All my math is there, but all the relevant conclusion figures are to the right.

When fighting a CAU VIII Hegemon, a rogue gunboat with all basics, assuming 100% accuracy, will destroy the hegemon in 95 seconds.

The Hegemon, in that time, can travel 19.06 kilometers in a straight line using constant thrust.

Compared to the SNAC or Razors, it is demostrably better, as both of those suffer from massive energy consumption problems, which i corrected for by increasing the rate of fire.

Thus, all ye pirates, use basic turrets!

Take One pirate transport, add 6 type 2 turrets with 250 more dps each then GB basics(2800 to 3050) and add 2 shield busters - 2 tizonas 3500 shield damage and saving the energy at the same time.... a bit of chain-fire a bit of weapon groups....
And then you can get the job done in 15k and at the end you can even pick the loot and go to sell it. :crazy:

Also you should do the number-crunching for transports. PTrans will be faster than a GB.
