We have a habitable world, with a dangerously low population, ripe for the taking if the Bretonian Government turned on the Coalition.
JiangXi, while not Gran Canaria, is a secure planet ideal for settlement (once the radiation is dealt with)... It has to be on someone's desk in Bretonia...
Considering the fact that much of the colony was rebuilt with Leeds/Tau-31 refugees... the IAB certainly know of JiangXi's existence.
It isn't a matter of picking a side, if Gallia presses home, the Bretonians will smash the Coalition to take a safe world for a fall back position, in fact I would hazard a guess, it is a more tempting target than Gran Canaria due to its isolation and relative obscurity.
So it is in our best interests that Bretonia hold the line against the Gallic forces. In fact, come 4.86 you may find SCRA ships supporting Bretonian ones in operations against Gallic ships, why? If Gallia wins, it will doom the Coalition. But there is the ever real threat that even if Bretonia wins... the Coalition could, quite well, be in its target sights.
