Yes that is true, but most people use the USA version rather than the UK one. I wonder is anyone actualy a billionair by UK standards or are the all cheating and using the USA version to make them selfs sound richer?

Also using a comma instead of a dot is confusing as 1,201 can be one thousand two hundred and one or one point two zero one, but using a dot for point and a comma for a devider means 1,201 must be one thousand two hundred and one as it would be 1.201 otherwise.

But I guess it is everyones own choice (or should I say the country they come from)

I've been mildly miffed by one-shot weapons since their implementation, oh so long ago. I remember the days when fights were a matter of who could aim better, rather than who could aim a single shot. - Virus

Wait...
1 billion is still 1000000000 over there right? Same as us here in USofA?

a bit of a thread necromancy here.... cheers Kane :)

This is maybe a completely stupid question but here it comes:

When the armor gets multiplied by say 2.5.... does that mean that I still take the same number of hits as before.. just need to use the nanobots more often?

If the nanobots have fixed repair value it should be like this.

Ok I see that I need armor on small ships... to avoid sudden unexpected deaths.. to a nuke/cannonball/supernova....
But why would anyone use extra 600 mil on a MK8 Cap armor for a BS if only the only thing it does is redistribute how you use your nanobots?

Cap users correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe that is so.
Armor upgrade serves only until you loose your first full bar of the hull.
And after that, it's all about how much nanobots you use.
The only real thing that armor upgrade helps with is not dying from a single shot, CB, nuke, Mini razor etc.

AoM has the numbers, how much does every nanobot repair your hull?
I believe it is around 300, or 400.
If you ask me, Armor upgrade and Nanobots work in a very weird way.
And i don't think anyone knows how exactly.

Armour multipliers also increase base nanobot values. This is possibly due to some hardcode which doesn't follow logic, as armour multipliers were never foreseen by the developers...

I had an unarmoured Eagle which used nanobots just as fast as when it became armoured recently, thanks to a friend donating an unused armour (Im lazy, not poor...:P).

The hardcode is not logical, but then again, it works for better gameplay in my opinion...

EDIT: Base repair value of a single nanobot is 400. with a 2.5 multiplier, it is 1000, but appears to still be the same amount of your bar because it is still in the same ratio.

For example, a ship with 10000 hull with 400 bot base repair value.

Now with armour, it has 25000 hull, and 1000 bot base repair value.

that is a 25:1 Ratio, which means it takes 25 bots to repair the hull fully, In both examples.

Oh now i get it,

I thought the commer meant 'by' ssay the MkII: 1,4 (one by four) instead of one point four.

So its 1 point for not one by four?

1 point for? It gives you 40% more.
1 point 4.
1 and 4/10 times as much.

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

After reading this post I was wondering if you spend all that money on armor upgrades and you buy a new ship, can you take the upgrade with you?
