Where's the fun in that? I don't play this server for the shooting. Never have done.
I wouldn't mind if someone shows up, says that and doesn't pewpew with heavy artillery and overwhelming firepower after the first 5 seconds ... but I don't think the inexperienced roleplayers out there count down to five before releasing a deadly stream of virtual photons (or whatever they weapons they use).
Don't be disappointed by them! You've encountered good and not so good RP'ers, it's <strike>life</strike> <strike>friday</strike> Discovery!:)
' Wrote:This is a problem. as it can't be done properly and most lawfuls gave up on 'arresting' as every single pirate they meet goes 'Im too badass to be arrestd!'
I was arrested once. That was fun. But the guy who arrested me was ambushed by a strong rogue force before he could get me to Sugarland. :3 He turned and ran and I was set free. Point is, I don't see anyone try any more and I wish they would.
On another note, getting some very interesting opinions. Keep em coming. I'm sincerely interesting in what people have to say on this matter.
' Wrote:This is true. But then my only crime is association with a pirate organisation. Does that always have to warrant death?
Edit: Also, I read somewhere in Liberty's Laws, that the Navy can deal out a punishment from a fine, arresting, or death.
True they can.
What I do in my pirate.
Get a reaction from the Navy/police
See if they react properly in-RP.
No, then check your chances and kill it quick or run away and come back when it left
Yes, then see what he's planning on to do, stick around but keep distance.
Not to mention some Navy officer can have a bad mood and just be really short off and chase you down.
But personally,
When on my pirate,
Navy = Run
Police = Run
Hunters = Run
Merc, Freelancer = Ask a bit, Run if you get a feeling what he/she is up to.
I prefer to stay alive, get the credits of traders and be done with it.
At least as a rogue.
I remember once our leader roleplayed with a nomad. The nomad led him to that base in the unknown system. A few weeks later he rped his death. That was a good read. Leader of the Rogues, killed off.
