"Please, do tell us if we're keeping you awake Mister O'Neal"
Orias picks up an evelope, handed to her by the aide, and passes a sheet of the contents around the table, one each. The Sheet detailing the construction and specs of a Dreadnaught type vessel.
"If there's nothing imediate to be taken care of, we'll start with this, a request from the Captain of the Nemesis. He'd like command of the nearly complete LNS Sentinel. I planned to bring in Lt Cdr. Grattage to this meeting, after we have your opinions"
- Admiral Orias, I would never fall asleep next to such fine woman as you. - Mike opened his eyes slightly, leaned forward only to grab the ship specifications and got back to previous position.
- Well... Specs looks fine to me... But I have one question: Why would I agree for another monstrous ship like that when I already have huge problems supporting my fighter wings - with both - supplies and pilots?
Marco looked at the document given by Orias. "Well, as scientist I am not in the position to judge about the need of more capital class vessels, but looking at th ship's data I don't think there is any problem, the Sentinel seems to be on high tech standards. And Lieutenant Commander Grattage is a very conscientious officer. So, he has a 'yes' from my side."
Then he leans a bit forward. "That we are talking about this reminds me of a Liberty Navy Captain and old friend who contacted me and would like to work for the Corona Battlegroup in the future. But first we should clear this thing".
Squished bigly ~Champ- Thanks, you're a champ. "What's the word for when it feels inside your heart that everything in the world is all right?"
- Well, with all due respect, Ma-am... It has much to do with my fighter wings' problem. Dreadnought is an expensive ship to maintain. And also, I question it's usability in space we're mostly interested in. I would say that places full of asteroids - like Kansas - should be patrolled and defended by fighter class vessels rather than big capships.
"Well, Mister O'Neal, Capital class vessels are almost as important as their little counterparts I would say. Just think of a little patrol far away from any friendly installation. So such big ships are a relatively safe haven for ships going on deep space missions".

- Well, Doctor Marco, I would agree with you if we were talking about a carrier. But a dreadnought is mainly made to fight off other capital ships. So I would ask then: Are we going to a war or something?
- Well, Admiral, you got the point here... I can only say that if we're about to spend money and resources for another huge capital ship, i wil ask for more funding for our fighter wings. For example for Azurite Wing which at the moment is nothing more than some paperwork.
"Mister O'Neal, are you sure you are fully informed about where money does come from? It seems you are not, thus I need to explain it. Bcause against some myths back in the 20th and 21th century it doesn't grow on trees" he shakes his head. "We should not fund 3 things at a time and just for the record, if something needs attention, money and recruits, it is the science division".
