I believe Cannon already mentioned that there will not be a character wipe with 4.86. Good thing, too, since such a thing would probably force out any veteran disco players who are still around.

Personally, as much as I'm looking forward to 4.86, I wouldnt even bother downloading it if my characters and stats were going to disappear. I have a billion credits at the moment, and most of that was made on the forums, not from powertrading or mining, it took a long time and a lot of effort to get that money and I'm not parting with it easily =P

There won't be, just like from 4.84 to 4.85. The only thing that might change on any of your characters is the models/design/features of some ships - for example the Liberty Assault Battlecruiser will be getting a new model in 4.86 that replaces the existing one.

Yeh I've already been warned about that.
If you do have a cap ship thats being effected by the turret splitting, when the update comes out you should unmount everything and remount it incase its in a slot that its no longer allowed. The anti-cheat may read it as hacking.

I'd be glad if the 86 came out at all. No matter if all the chars get wiped. A chance to start again is always good:)
