I mean for one, GMG, really? GMG is weak, and to "try" to hijack a dreadnought? not plausible, not plausible at all. They couldn't hijack a rookie Sabre if they tried.
"Oh, you have the Kaichou? Well we have um lets see the Tridente, Storta, Sabre, Switchblade, Falcata, Ranseur, Sarissa, Scimitar.. yeah. Times that by our entire army of 1000, so eat it."
Now to see the Corsairs in an Outcast dreadnought could be plausible, as they are the strong opposing group against the Outcasts. For instance, maybe the dreadnought was caught somewhere in eta, and two Osiris's caught it off guard and attacked. Somehow, they managed to get into the ship and attack its crew; the OCs perished, but only a few Sairs lived to tell the tale. They were able to fly it back to Tripoli for repairs, and outfitted the empty turret hardpoints or even all of them to have Corsair turrets. Thus, the Ranseur of the Corsairs. Of course, the crew would do their best to keep it alive, and probably only use it as a defense ship. The Outcasts would of course raid Gamma and try to take their beloved ship back, but everybody knows that the Sairs always win. (just kidding about that, i have both an OC and a Sair haha)
Anyway, i see it in this way: If it is absolutely plausible, then by all means. but if it gets out of hand, then thats when things need to be put in check.
Hence, the forums. For roleplaying stories.
GMG isn't exactly weak. They're a corporation that's a lot rougher then most other. They even won the Rheinland/GMG war (80 years war). So no, they're not weak. But that's not my point those GMG guys in Liberty were simple lolwuts, they weren't exactly doing it with roleplay. Like the average FL ID'd Mjolnir with buckshots and krakens you'd see here and there.
GMG is strong enough to defeat a house in a war. GMG is strong enough to hold back the regular incursions of both OC and Corsair fleets from entering into house space. Don't know where you've been. Of course the fact that OCs and Sairs are warring each other helps us greatly and if they could settle their differences for a little bit both could wipe GMG from Sirius. Doesn't seem to be happening anytime to soon though.
I never did see the example that Blood1ke mentioned. But I do know from what time era it was occuring since as soon as we GMG| became official we asked for all caps to be removed from our ID. That took care of 1/3 of the lolcaps in the Sigmas at the time. Unprecedented raping of the OC and Corsair caps that comprised the other 2/3 of lolcaps in the Sigmas is what followed. It was amazing to see, even before the release of .85, when the hispanics started to wisen up and bring fighters.
GMG can't beat a house in a straight fight. Saying that would be silly.
But history proves that the GMG can fight a very effective defensive (key word) and prolonged war.
Actually, come to think about it, where did Rheinland get their fuel for 80 years?...

Agreed, we can't do it in a straight fight, instead using superior tactics suitable for our space. I see no reason for GMG changing what works which is why the removal of caps from the ID.
To add further to your other sentence. History proves that the GMG can fight a very effective defensive and prolongued war with the result of achieving victory in it's war against an invading house. That final battle where Rheinland sent in all they got...GMG did wipe out every single ship in about 1/4 of an hour (I'd have to relook up that info it states in minutes how long that final battle lasted). Not written by us btw, original material. I'm guessing Microsoft wanted to write it in stone in the setting that the fuel will not be controlled by the houses but by an independant organization with enough muster to hold it.
However I'm sure we don't want to get caught with our pants down outside of our clouds until we figure out something for open space combat.
I always wondered where the fuel came because they came to the Sigma due to them not having enough fuel to support their war machine. The war erupted when the Kruger depot was destroyed. Oh wait, I remember, in the initial invasion RM pushed all the way to Naha and had control of that mining station for a good period of time in that war.
I exaggerated GMG's weakness then. Still, from what I believe they wouldn't to hijack a Ranseur, and although they fought off an entire house, The Sairs or the Outcasts could probably fight off two. Imagine if they allied their forces...... nah.
Anyway, I'm just saying that I feel that this server claims that it relies heavily on roleplay. If so, then why can't these possibilities occur? I mean, as a Xeno with a heavy story that includes him being an ex-lieutenant in the navy, I'm having a difficult time trying to have an Upholder, even when i have an immense 2 page story behind it. Hell, the HF gets to have navy ships because they're ex-Navy, so why can't I?
But eh.
EDIT: I can't think straight, i'm a bit hungover:wacko:
