' Wrote:I had talked to people about this before, my Civilian ID was mean to reflect my RP, I'm not IFF with anyone nor wish to be, it's an independent Vessel from outside Sirius... What ID can I use that wont mess my REP?
I can't have red rep with ANY regular NPC factions I might come across as they are an exploit others can use against me as they bump into me and flip me around all over the place.
A barge can be blown up by ONE bomber or even Fighter when there are any NPC's attacking me OR him...
plus I request that I use an ID that has NO repninja, like the Special ops ID, it took me A VERY LONG TIME to get the barge and it's Armour and it's IFF.
It's not as if I want to take it through GUARD systems or visit the Nomads or Phantoms, I just like the idea of being able to get it (eventually) from one part of Sirius to another, for instance Omicron-Lost, that system that has nothing in it or the System with the Black hole... (I wonder how long it would last in it's Eye...)
So what's a Gal to do? I love the barge and spend most of my time plodding about in it...
Unfortunately, the Freelancer/Civilian ID does not allow a barge, it has a 3600 cargo space ruling to prevent power traders from flying all over Sirius trading everything. I suggest getting an ID without this restriction.
So....you want to get it to everyone in Sirius?
Get a Kusari Corp ID.
I know your [Nostromo] character deals with ore, I suggest IMG ID though.
Maybe even a Zoner ID, if you want to be neutral with many.

I said it in other thread but you show it perfectly. How can forcing Barge players to have non-generic ID solve the barge powertrading with "flying all over Sirius trading everything", if they just can choose Kusari Corps which will allow them to flying all over Sirius trading (nearly) everything... Voiding exception for Barge to have Freelancer ID will only kill special roleplay, but definitely not stop barge powertrading.
Hmm, I just hate to have Red NPC's there's nothing I hate more than Red NPC's on a ship that is so defenseless and useless when being bumped by them, it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to move the thing in one direction when being bumped, and don't even try docking while under attack...
And there is NO way of power trading in a Barge these days with the speed nerf, I might be able to make 14million running H-fuel from battleship essex to battleship hood in Dublin, it's one way and takes much longer than a similar earning 5k route...
But it's not very in RP to do it constantly, let alone at all, what I want to do is possibly move a load of ore from Dublin to somewhere else, or OIL from Gallia, or some other raw material over a long distance, it's what the Nostromo was doing in Alien and I could even put some 'spaceship crew' 'Cryocubes' and other such supplies in my hold to represent the various components of the Nostromo...
But since I want to be free to do all this it conflicts with house laws and wars, which is something I can not avoid but hopefully can RP around and get escorts and such...
And as far as I know, if I wanted to Powertrade in my barge, say... CryoCubes from Gallia to the Zoner base in Omicron Delta and then Uncut Diamonds from Omega-11 back to Gallia (or gold ore) I could easily settle on an ID that allows me to do that specifically, and I would be making the most possible money profit on those two runs for commodity and Ore... But that is difficult, time consuming and certainly not fun doing that only route, plus I would be faster and earning more per time spent in a 5k...
You can't power trade in a barge anymore, it's just not worth it, and if you do power trade in a barge it's not exactly game breaking because of the time and effort put in!
I think you miss the point, your barge have wrong ID and therefore admins have been kindly to secure your ship in Bastille, and the only thing you can do is wait while PM'ing admins about your problem, be patient, be nice and hopefully admins will see your good will and give your barge second chance to fly in Sirius space once again, of course with proper ID
For now its better a Zoner id of IC id.
Zoner id its the most NPC neutral, but the gallia house GRN and GRP they change in red if you take a Zoner id.
So forget Gallia and take a Zoner id, oww and the counsil are neutral for Zoners;)
No Matter How Good You Are, Don't Ever Let Them See You Comming
Hmm, well I guess when I'm back from my week away from home I will give the Admins some PM's, I couldn't do anything on the forum up until yesterday as my account got stolen and denied me access or something, This is a temporary one for now...
I will see if I can get a special ID and stick to a rigid RP, but it's the NPC's I have a problem with over everything...
As for docking, I would hopefully not need to do that much at all, I've had to for pirate reasons in the past but with the correct RP I can just Cloak the thing wherever as long as I'm not being slowly turned into scrap by a band of pirates...

I wasn't aware the Barge couldn't be used with Freelancer/Mercenary ID, when was this changed? Barge is/was a special ship that can be used with -any- ID except the Civilian ID which does not exist anymore.

Civ ID is now Freelancer ID. Mercenary ID is now Freelancer ID. Hence, logic.
