if the cloak will be interruptable, then it will not be worth the effort needed for make it or the money to buy it.
Considering the duration of invisibility, and a limited amount of fuel, interruption will make this expensive device is completely useless.

it can be interruptable only if you'll can buy it in any base/planet for ~1000~or~So credits without hours expended to build it.

Agreed , if it was simlpy could interrupted, why the heck i would spend bils to buy it, sepnd hours to make it,stay online at forum for another hours for biddin contest for it?

Make them interruptable by some piece of kit taking up one turret or gun slot.

Cloaks will never be super special - in fact from now on and forward they will become even less so, when the demand drops and the market for cloaks saturate. Plus the novelty value of base killing will go down, making it easier to build and thus obtain cloaks too.

Considering the amount of fuel it uses, initial expenses to get one and sacrificing a hardpoint for it can be hardly called free. I have my doubts whether it can be called a cheap-escape button.

i don't know what is the problem!! you need a large amount of cash to have it, you need a lot of fuel, to a mk2 advanced you need 60 seconds to cloak and you lose shield, and .. i mean AND ... on a ZBT can't maintain the cruise speed for too many time.. i mean .. about 30 seconds! Normal speed great .. cruise speed jsut for a few moments! And now spending at 3 units per second ... fuel+device=few cargo space to transport the cargo.

Also about not losing the device if the ship is destroyed ... did anyone lost his guns and armor when was destroyed? No! So why should we lose any of the new devices? Even if i had a base, it takes a lot of time to make any device but if i want an armor, i just have to dock on a station that sells it and buy it!

i remember at the begining of the taling of cloak devices, every one want then, but someone said it was only for few and only official factions! I and others were againts it, but now is free for all like it should be! I'm in favor of the cloaks and all other items, and who isn't ... i also not i favor of many things here in Discovery but i accept it!


Edit: Also about the F1! If a trader to evade a pirate uses F1, the pirate takes the screenshot and report it! Or while the ship is still there ith no shield ... yo ucan also shoot it down!

Do you really think so? Most traders are as willing to part from cargo space as tigers from their teeth.

Do we have a single confirmed case of a trader cloaking away from a pirate? Cause one should to do it -a lot- for it to be more cost effective than paying.
