'We do not have much to spare, remember our cassualties Erik? One fighter pilot is not going to change it all.
Turns to Bolevara trying to investigate artifact.
'Docking module proven to be big vulnerability. Next time we need to be faster before they can set up defences. Precise quick boarding straight from the troop carriers before they can react may be an answer... but for that we need time for Dragons and us to regroup and prepare. Co-ordination is crucial.'
"Yes Mike, I do know our casualties. I'd appreciate it if you don't remind me of that horror..." I felt a tremendous psychological pain as Michal reminded me of the second battle of Omicron Minor. After a few second of silence and a sigh I continued on with business.
"What is the current status of the Thebes and the rest of the fleet?"

"Seen better days..." Bolevara began sarcastically. He quickly sobered up and continued, however.
"While we'll probably never regain the fleets we had....it's getting slightly better. Thebes is still immobile, but we managed to get Khepri, Svizra and Kheops functional again. The addition of the Immortal with Damodred in-charge helped us a bit as well. But that's about it for our heavy hitters."
He took a breath, and continued.
"The secrecy protocol from Amduat and Taweret helped us, truthfully. Probably the only thing that kept the nomad fleet searching and not storming and destroying our rough, new bloody home. Now if only we could use the damn things better than what we're doing with them..."
Bolevara ended in a way that left it amply clear that he had cut himself short.
Quick footsteps echoed down Thebes' corridor as a lone figure ran through it. Ever since the legendary Neith-II had appeared outside, people had been talking. When the figure had heard of it's appearance, he had to see it for himself. It was the sight of the venerable cruiser that sent him into his dash for the Admiral's office, dodging around people and sliding between others as he went down the hall, slowing to a jog as he approached.
Jeremy Hunter openned the door, panting slightly.
"Michal, that is the Neith Two..." Jeremy's question died on his tongue as the figure of Eriksson Ravenov was spotted.
"Eriksson Ravenov, about damn time you showed up!" Jeremy said. "Where the hell have you been?"
"Oh, hello Jake. I've been here and there, doing what needs to be done. It was a relatively fun trip. And not to mention what good might come out of it." I then had another glance at the papers. I then closed the folders and said "Call Taweret let her examine the artifact. As for the assault, keep up the good work. Oh and Michal, can you please tell me where's my stuff?"

'Akabat, one of barely used storage warehouses on the surface... I will upload co-ordinates to your Wraith, still in hangar bay number 3. If Taweret can grab this artifact anytime she wants. I didn't brought it here as a trophy, there will be other occasions to get loads of it.'
With it he put in to his PDA said location and sent it to his fighter alongside few other attachments he prepared. Golanski got a lot on his mind with recent events.
'I also sent all relevant reports I didn't had with myself for you, that should give you full assesment of situation we're in. We need your cruiser combat capable soon as possible too and I guess it is not a impossible task right now since that thing hangs out fully operative next to Thebes?'
"Thank you, Michal. And, well, the Neith is operational, however, I'd like our engineers to check her for any possible faults and perhaps upgrade a few things so that she's in tip-top shape."
I got up from the desk and started heading towards the door. Once I reached the door I turned around and said "Bolevara, Michal, it's good to be home. I'll see you two in space sometime. Jeremy, would you mind giving me a lift to Akabat?"
I left the office, closing the door behind me. Jeremy was standing next to me looking bedazzled so in order to break the ice I asked "How's the family, Jake?"
