' Wrote:No next. It was a trilogy. If a new movie it will not be Dark Knight. With diff directors, and such.
There will be more, same directors and actors.... But it won't be the "Dark Knight" series anymore... It's be ****** *** *****. I ain't gona ruin it for those who haven't seen it yet;)
EDIT- Dibs on Tom Hardy's "Bane" for my next disco char 8|
Right now is far too soon to say if there will be sequels to the current trilogy. The only things that are set in stone is 1) That Nolan is done & has no desire to ever do another batflick & 2) is a spoiler I won't spill.
The trilogy is a good full circle package on the whole & doesn't need anymore sequels...but the problem is, Warner Brothers is always more interested in milking a sucsessful franchise than they are with putting out a quality product, so it's guaranteed there will be more batflicks in the future.
Ya just gotta wonder: will they ruin the current one by overdoing it, or will they wait a decade or so before rebooting it again. Odds are, they will ruin it for the quick buck like the last time.
I'd say a later reboot would work more. Overdoing this one without Nolan just won't work, if the guys at WB will not be able to realize it, shame on them.
@ Veygaar
Make it an Outcast, or a badass guy seriously dosed with cardi. I was thinking in these ones so far.
I have a handful of things to say & this is the thread to say them in since it has to do w/ the Batman...
1st, As I explained above, I essentially loathe franchise milking
2nd, I'm not a fan of the DC animation subgenre
3rd, I don't like to use the term 'nerdgasm'
4th, Sometimes...I speak too soon and have to man up & admit it
::ahem::
OK...I hereby state for the record that although I can't stand franchise milking, I just learned that WB did something right with it.
Yeah. Ok. so, about that...The Dark Knight Returns Pt. I finally gets released next week. Me being Me, I took the 'eff it. I'm tired of waiting & wanna watch it now' option.
& so far, it delivered on what it promised: A faithful adaptation of the graphic novel
...I smeggin' loved it on toast, man!
My only gripes are that I'm not a fan of the same 'ol recycled, cheap-ass, afterschool animation style of the cartoon series from the 90's they used for it, & it kinda bites that they omitted Bats internal monologue narration throughout, but beyond that...who cares? It was a blast to sit through & I'm chompin' at the bit for Pt. II in January when it goes from really good to really great!
Frank Miller fans: go git yew some!
p.s. I won't say where, but for those in the know, look for the Alan Moore & Neil Gaiman nods completely hidden in the open:D
