Seems like Belgemir just needs to be made larger, comparison wih wraith for both would be useful, as we cant really tell which needs resizing more ATM.
As for phantom; just make it smaller and say thats the upgrade they did when making it mk2? I mean, its ok to upgrade hull, guns, core ect, but not size?

Its not just the shape, but rather the shape makes it ridiculous.
Bergelmir has big power core with 45.4k compared to Upholder and Havok with 38.2k.
Bergelmir has big hull with 19.4k compared to Upholder with 17.6k and Havok with 18.6k
Bergelmir has 4 guns and 2 turrets, one of the turrets faces forward so it is actually 5 weapons forward. You can put 2 hellfire and still have 3 EMP forward... Upholder is 4/2 but both turrets are backwards, one less forward weapon. Havok has no turrets at all.
NOW thing about the stupid tiny shape. Big core, big hull, lots of guns, and tiny little ship. Its wrong in every way.
2 posts teleported to the abyss. Keep it civil and on topic.
on topic: yes, Phantom is crap. needs a buff. badly. too big. way too big.
Bergilmir is too small. way too small. needs a nerf. especially when ya look at its overall stats. epic firepower, good plant, good handling good hull. its simply a tad OP.
Only thing Bergelmir needs is to be remade into a proper light bomber with the right agility, reactor and other stats... and then we fix the Fafnir to be a better heavy bomber and it's all ok.

LFs need new ideas in how to make them work. The "fast, tiny and paper thin" just doesn't work, and hasn't for ages. They are still nothing more than a curiosity and don't really have any real use in battles. I've had a few ideas mainly revolving around remaking them into interceptor like craft, where they wouldn't really have any better agility than VHFs, but would pack a big punch with their weapons against VHFs (so in essence they would need a new weapon class just for themselves) while still having low HP.
Am I onto something here or does this sound stupid?

In order not to stray off topic here I made this topic to discuss ideas etc.

Well yes and no. The reason LFs are not used for combat much is because heavier fighters are better in combat. But LFs are useful, and there are a lot of people that use them. The phantom should be balanced for that reason alone. More than a couple of people here said its not a good LF, way too big for its actual usage. That's the problem that is being raised here. I'll talk in that other thread more, but for this one the Phantom is not a good house LF
