That looks pretty good Exile, did you draw do those symbols and such by hand?
Here's something I made while I was tinkering around with our new Corel suite... I know the idea is overused, but I had to learn the functions some how:P
How's it for my second day? (Yesterday I played with it for 10 minutes)
You say you have Corel? HOW do you use that? The only thing I can make is really badly done cartoonish looking things. I've got the... Corel Graphics Suite X3. A wee bit outdated, but which part of the suite did you use? And... How? And... Did you ever even have X3 or are you on 4 so it might have completely different features?
It's expensive, so I want my Christmas present to be put to use.

Heh, my dad got it so he could do his own layouts for the CD's he sells. But I decided to tinker with it.
We have X4, I just opened up PhotoPaint and filled a canvas with black, then added noise and adjusted the brightness/contrast to make the stars look somewhat realistic. Then I made a circle and filled it with a gradient (dynamic fill tool) with black in white. then I used the textures and messed around with blurs and distortions to make the planet... then I added a simple lens flare. It's not that hard to make what I did, but then again I dont know what X3 has.
@Exile I really don't know what masks are or how to use them... you know of a tutorial or something explaining masks?
