i agree with chopper, you have a lot of alternative, mini inferno is not the perfect answer at all problems.
Moreover, if you know hwo to use the inferno, you can do exactly the same with a mini razor ( in fight VHF vs VHF).
But maybe, the other good solution is developing same kind of guns in others factions for the next version, and with Jinx idea " we don't know the precise stats, just if it's good against shield or hull"...

as for doing exactly the same with mini razor ? you are partially right. it is not the same. Cause if mini Razor was moving at the same speed as inferno, we would not be having this discussion. You know what, in 4,85 frop the inferno speed to 380 and see if any one complains. By your logic they shouldn't.

Any way I was thinking something like a zoner inferno. Mainly a good shield buster that makes fighters more effective against cap ships.

about a non replacable weapon

a VHF with inferno and 6 hullbuster is a threat to a some warships. - a VHF without an inferno is hardly any threat. i agree that the inferno is an outcast trademark - and i would say that its outcast only if the outcasts would not use ANY other shieldbusters - but they do. - so it "feels" kinda strange that a lot of stuff on the corsair side ( and their allies ) appears to be universal ( armour, novas etc. ) while stuff on the outcast side is factionized ( cheeta thrusters, infernos ).

imo, - a "few" more self restrictions of the factions that claim to have exclusive gear would be in order.

Falcata without inferno = average and boring bomber

Falcata with inferno = good bomber on par with , RH/Taidan/Praetorian with their faction weapons (and mini razors)

I agree that the gun does balance out a rather "meh" bomber, but a gun that can be used by half the folks hither and yon to balance out the one ship is a bit of a head scratcher.

That's what we'r saying Dusty. While it's fine to have Outcasts using Inferno, it's not fine for anyone else.
I know from experience that BD HF is really imbalanced with inferno.
Red Cat.. I can't even imagine that one.

Falcata isn't, since it's a rather average bomber. Inferno should stay for Outcasts only.

And as for Mini-razor..

Mini Razor is a diminished version of Razor hull-breacher mounted on capital ships. While being a compact weapon suitable for heavy fighters, it still requires enormous amounts of energy to fire.

No, you had inferno and cheetah thruster, just trying to get all the best gear ain't allowed. World ain't fair, get used to it. As a merc you have alot of freedom, be happy with the freedom you have.

As for the use of outcast weapons, continued use would aggravate relations with the Corsairs, if any JG appear in Gamma or Corsair space with ANY outcast tech equipped, consider yourself KOS.
