I just thought of something ... what about the borderstations that are around every single House Jumpgate? They aren't shipyards and don't look like they should sell ships, but perhaps just put one Civi fighter on sale on each, I'm sure there are enough borderstations to go around so that we could have every civi fighter for each house.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

Yea, it's not as if someone might shoot at them in space, is it? :roll eyes:

I agree, Civillian ships should be more accessable to Civillians. AND that means have them avaliable in all the houses. It really only makes sense to do it this way.

Well the civilian line should be avaliable EVERYWHERE... Like Newark for example, right now sells no ships, but could sell eagles and griffins...

Likewise, Gians could buy them at their own bases, (same goes for other unlawfuls who relly on the civilian line)

well, i guess the idea was to make the game more challenging and not life-like. If you care to get a VHF, you should take the pains of getting them.

All of the following vessels should be sold in guard systems for the respective NPC factions.

Jugernaught
Dreadnought
Battleship
Battle Cruiser
Cruiser
Destroyer
Gunboat
Bomber

We should not be seeing any Bounty Hunters flying Liberty cap ships nor should there be non-faction members purchasing such vessels. In order to fly a Liberty Battleship ... you'd need to be friendly enough to actually have a Liberty IFF.

Independent lawfuls should be flying Civilian type vessels.

Pirates and unlawfuls should have their own equivalent vessels.

Junkers should have a variety of junked capships. We already have the recycled Rheinland Pirate Cruiser (which needs a name change ... should rename it to "Junker Cruiser" with a description explaining how they recycled it from wreckage). Would be nice to see a junked Liberty Gunboat, junked Rheinland Battleship, etc ... each of these ships would be like the original but with nerfed armor and power capabilities ... say 75% armor and power from what the original vessels have.

Zoners typically come across advanced tech stuff anyway. But their vessels should not be considered available to civilian. Civilian vessels should only be purchasable from corporate bases.

I agree with you about the ships Baltar, but making Zoner ships unavailable to civilians is not right. Zoners use the border world ships, those are something like advanced civilian ships. Making them unavailable will be a very big mod change and that is not so easy

Yeah, that's why everyone new in Liberty takes the pains and buys a Raven Claw from Rio Grande, a ship that isn't supposed to be common and mass-produced.

Nice idea. I'd also like to suggest removing the Hacker Gunship from Mactan ... It's sold in the Hacker Guard system, anyway. The Hacker Gunship is about the same as Raven Claw ... it's high-tech, pinnacle of development, and shouldn't get in abusive hands of tons of pirates, not to mention oorp players.

Sorry, Dragon, but I've never seen a Zoner fly a BW-line ship, such as Stiletto or Sabre. They're flying the civilian line - Falcons, Eagles. Which Zoner ships do you mean, anyway?

Well, I agree that civilian ships should be more available. Somewhere that pilots who operate outside of the law can get to them as well. I also agree with Balthars comments on cap-ships and their distibution. What I would add is that whilst ships and their correct positioning is important, so are their weapons. Liberty gunboat turrets available on Crete anyone?
