+1 from me (:
Having such a rizzky mining field with high credit bonus would be awesome as well, though I think it might cause powertraders to get an easy route. I don't know though, it might work. Something must finally be a viable competitor to IMG's Niobium.

Like this one IMG doesn't get
Might even be better to give the GREATER mining bonus to GMS and a slightly lesser one to BMM. But agreed on IMG not getting it. The bonuses should be for competing groups...not friendly/allied ones.
GMS also used to have a bonus on Gold ore so they could basically do the same kind of "resource raiding" in Dublin, didn't they?
A super profitable mining field right on top of Edins JH and just ~20k of cruise away from Islay? Well, that will be interesting indeed. The idea is good, could indeed create even a small bloodbath in there. I'm all for it.

In the same way that BAF very rarely ever log to guard Bowex Convoys, GRN will appear, out of the woodwork (and promptly disappear back there), when there is a chance of a fight. I will be surprised if this is not so.
You can have ships passing through Leeds all day long and not one GRN logs, but as soon as certain Tags appear in Leeds the GRN Tag starts popping up.
That's because whenever we do log and sit around waiting for people, other log off or avoid us. How many times have I flown around the Taus, Leeds, and Magellan to have no interactions? The only way we can ever do anything is if we see large groups popping up in systems we have ZoI in. Hell, we flew with some KNF the other day doing a little joint patrol and chatting it up. Please don't accuse the GRN of things it can't fix.
I agree Miaou it makes sense I wouldn't log my BS to fight an indie GRN noob. But miaou what do you think of this?

It's realizable and the dev team has taken notice of this thread, however there hasn't been a decision made on how, when or if it's going to be implemented.

To be fair, bare minimum that needs to be done is declaring the mining zones and adding a Uranium Ore stock commodity as the field drop. The exact specifications of how things work, down to the price, activated fields and field yield can all be determined serverside. For 5 minute's work, you might as well kick the can down the road to the admins and get people off your backs.
If you do go down the road of blowing LD-14 up, that is a little more complicated though. The story I'd recommend is that one of the Gallic corps was tasked with restoring functionality to LD-14 but only given a shoestring budget. So they cut corners, resulting in the already damaged and poorly maintained reactor exploding and rendering the entire thing useless. To save face, they blame the BAF for a 'terrorist' attack on a civilian installation or something.
