I do not believe we had the pleasure yet. I'm Sentinel Matthias Clarke. You may know me from my work with miss Grubozaboyschikov. I'm contacting you because we found ourselves in need of some information, and I belive that when it comes to information, you're the best source of it.
An individual going by the name of Enma Loyola has made some bold claims of authority within the Outcasts. The Guard requires at least a simple confirmation, or denial, of these. Some elaboration on her position within their society would also be appreciated.
Compensation can come in whatever form you require and we can provide.
Sentinel Clarke, it is a pleasure to hear from you.
Your work with our Infiltrator is known to the Professorship and deeply appreciated. Thus, allow me to provide you with an overview of the current Maltese political situation.
The National Council is the umbrella organization compromising the most influential and largest Outcast groups and syndicates. As they are the majority, they usually make the most important decisions for Malta. Not as influential but still noteworthy minorities on Malta are the Oracles and the Commune, both cults are dedicated in serving the alien race and are thus extremely dangerous.
Enma Loyola was one of the founding figures of the National Council with much power in her hands. At some point she was infested and thus started working for the interests of her new masters. That created a very unpleasant situation and put our bilateral relationships at peril. Fortunately, the former President of the Council realized the severity of the situation and demoted this individual.
Not too long ago, reliable sources informed me that Enma Loyola was killed, the poor woman who lost control of her body and her life finally rested in peace. Subsequently it is safe to assume that any bold claims this nomad made to the Gaian Guard are no longer valid.
Latest reports indicate that Nomad activity in the Independent Worlds is steady and non-declining, so we would like to establish with the Gaian Guard a channel for frequent exchange of information and combat cooperation as a means of eliminating or at least shrinking this great threat in our neighborhood.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Blackfriar and I have been appointed by Professor Yoshida to investigate a certain rumor surrounding the Gaian movement. According to this 'rumor', your movement is in disarray and diminishing. This does not match our latest reports, as our field operatives are reporting a rapid growth of Gaian activity - not only in systems bordering Liberty, but also within its borders.
Assuming the rumor is false, the situation unveils more questions. Therefore, I am contacting you to get an accurate information regarding the current status of Gaian movement and your latest plans. Additionally, we would like to know the reason behind your incursions into Liberty - most notably California system. We like to know what's going on within our domain.
Interruptor Blackfriar thank you for attempting contact.
It is unfortunate that there is no answer by the Gaian Guard. This relationship has been one of the most fruitful and honest for both sides. Our latest USI reports confirm in the past few weeks a substantial decrease of Gaian Guard activity in California and the Independent Worlds.
For security purposes the channel will be deactivated in six days from now.

Guess the bureaucracy isn't quite working out for the Guard, is it?
Hope you will excuse us the delay, the message only crossed my desk today. I am Fleet Captain Leonard Harrington, the man in charge of what's left of the proper Legion. I can't imagine something as big as our exit went under your radar, so I am not going to bore you with the backstory. We're the ones behind Guard's operations in Liberty and around. Hitting the Navy, hitting the Gauls, hitting the Commonwealth. Just what you'd expect from the Commonwealth's own little "purifying fire". Our agenda remains largely the same, but given what they have done to the Legion, we don't really shy away from teaching the corporates a lesson or two.
The rest of the Guard is doing just fine as far as we are concerned. Your reports must be off on that matter.
The Guard will see to safely terminating this channel on their end. Should there be any further inquiries, they will forward them to your diplomatic channel. In case me or my men have something to ask about, we will use that channel as well.
By the way. We remember your assistance from our formative days, back when the Legion was barely limping around. Most of my subordinates are people that fought side by side with your pilots, when we were still on the same side. We are open to working something out again.
Do you think this is some kind of joke? Is the Gaian Guard trying to insult us by sending you to respond? Please let me remind you what you are.
You along with your kind defected from the Liberty Navy breaking your oaths and forged an alliance with the Lane Hackers. You broke your promises again when you turned against us. Now you have defected again, this time from the Legion. In what kind of capacity does a triple oath-breaker can address us? Your word has no value, your promise has no weight. You are just a scoundrel, leaping from one boat to another.
I don't care about your activities in Vespucci, it is a backwater and desolate system, your remnants are irrelevant and of no value to the Lane Hackers. I seek to speak with real Gaians like Sentinel Clarke or Flora from the Watchers, people with indisputable integrity. Your recent engagement against the GRN was well received by the Lane Hackers. So much that we are interested in supplying your non-Hellfire cells with exclusive Lane Hacker superior technology. We want you to succeed and regain your strength as much as you do.
But there is something bothering us. We caught an official transport from the wealthiest and most powerful corporation in Sirius heading to what appears to be... Holmfirth Base. Isn't that interesting? Normally we wouldn't care but Interspace Commerce happens to be one of our greatest enemies. The captain didn't dock when he noticed our presense, and even we demanded him to dock he refused. When an IC| milksop refuses to seek salvation from the Lane Hackers when it is openly offered, you know something is very wrong. So is there something perhaps you wish to tell us? A minor and totally unremarkable change in your diplomacy?
Thank you for your time. Hopefully your response won't take so long this time.
I am Lily Collins, the current Warden of the Guard. I would like to offer you our sincere apologies, it was not our intention to insult or disrespect the Lane Hackers in any capacity. I can assure you there has been no change in our diplomacy. It is most likely that the transport was headed towards the Newcastle jumphole. It is not uncommon for various merchants to attempt using this shortcut, whether headed to or from Scarborough.
The captain refused to seek shelter most likely because he knew well he will receive none. Our stance towards Interspace is no friendlier than yours, and we are surprised by your conclusion. Interspace is paying mercenaries well for killing out people, why would we possibly have any dealings with them whatsoever?
Warden Collins, it is a pleasure to speak with you.
The Interspace Commerce transport of the primary branch was heading directly for your base not the jump hole and it was standing right outside as you can make out from the second picture. It would have attempted to dock if he did not see us in his scanners. However I will take your word and dismiss the matter as well as any GG involvement in this matter. Trust is an important foundation on which friendship is being built on. However I can promise you that those who betray our trust always feel our wrath in ways they could never imagine.
Speaking of friendship, as I said before we're looking into providing your men with some of our exclusive equipment which will help you on the field and farther stabilize your presence. For this reason we would also welcome any ideas or input the Gaian Guard has to further solidify this cooperation. Finally we would also like to know the Gaian Guard's stance on the natural grass known as cardamine. Following Bretonia's legalization of the product we believe the Gaians, a progressive movement with many intellectuals in its ranks, should also stay at the front of this ideological battle without allowing inconvenient politics to contaminate or cloud its judgment.
I am afraid our options are fairly limited when it comes to direct cooperation. All of our forces within Liberty, and most in the independent systems of Cortez and Magellan, are subordinates of Captain Harrington. Given that the Lane Hackers do not wish to cooperate with them, we believe that trade or scientific exchanges would be our best choices. We are currently capable on redirecting a few transports towards artifact deliveries to Mactan, although it will not be much given the current state of affairs in Bretonia, and are also open to hear if you require our research expertise.
As for our approach towards cardamine, we are not opposed to the substance itself. The fact that it's deeply intertwined with Sirius' slave economy is what makes us wary of it, and the reason we intercept shipments should we encounter one. We are not bothered if an individual uses it willingly, nor if they carry a personal supply. Nevertheless, given that Malta has a total monopoly on the drug, we do not and will not permit its usage within our own ranks.
The problem with Captain Harrington is that I see a Hellfire soldier fighting under the Gaian flag. No allegiance, no ideological semblance does he bear with the rest of your Movement. Our bonds of friendship are not just circumstantial because we share a number of common enemies but are based on common ideological background. That is our problem Ms Collins; perhaps with enough interest you can find a solution so that we can cooperate with your forces more closely in the aforementioned areas.
Regarding cardamine, I understand why you'd be wary to use it when there is only a single, and hostile to your faction, producer of this natural grass. Nevertheless remember that the Kingdom has outplayed the Gaians on this issue and proved to be far more progressive and open-minded than your own Movement.
Warden Collins you spoke of deliveries. That would be very welcomed considering it has been a long time since the Gaians last reported artifact deliveries to our Job Board. Perhaps we should expect a new batch any time soon?
As for scientific exchanges I can secure for us a number of Technicians and Specialists, who given the right tools, can make Hacker technology more compatible to the Gaians and vice versa. Provided of course that you're still interested in such a development.
