Oh, I have full intentions on trying for officialdom. Whether or not it will succeed is a different argument altogether, and is a topic for another feedback thread. But, since this is here, I figure I may as well provide feedback.

What you may perceive as a lie may be a diehard truth to others.
>Be RoM (Republic of Malta is a faction opposing current Malta) - There's more going on there, but sure. A sound reason to dislike the RoM
>Have "Ranseur" blueprints and claim upgrading Hellfire Legion's "Perpetrator" Battleship (some sense would be usefull here) - The RoM have access to all Maltese blueprints save for the Misericorde, as I have no plans on trying to gain access to a ship that was introduced after the RoM's exile. All others are due to the RoM's inflow of engineers and other personnel from Malta where applicable. I haven't written that much out yet, but rest assured it will be included in the database.
>Keep posting as Maltese News Service (MNS) - Information war is fun. You don't have to like it, and I don't expect you to, but please keep memes where they're supposed to go.
>Keep being away from Malta yet reading the stuff comm'd to Malta - Maybe it shouldn't be addressed to 'All Maltese' then. Notice we've stayed away from all 'Maltese Hispania' comms and all 'inter-Maltese' comms.
>Claim Basillica Infected - We can claim whatever we want. I don't tell you how to run your RP, so don't assume you can criticize how we run ours.
>Claim being ready to attack - This is mostly a side-effect of constantly being told about an avenue of logging that keeps avoiding me. I've continued planning to organize loggings for the RoM, and yet they've continuously kept being pushed back. I have a definite window now, though, so these criticisms should go away hopefully.
>Have almost no population but several Battleships - In comparison to the rest of the Maltese, sure. In comparison to what it takes to command and operate warships, hardly. The RoM also only have a single battleship and a trio of destroyers, with a second battleship in the works. I don't know where 'several' came in.
>Stand against Cardamine - Against the trade. If you'd taken a read of the RP, then you'd know the RoM's stance against the trade of Cardamine, not the usage of it. They can't physically be against the usage of it, or else they wouldn't be Maltese.
>Stand against Slavery - Working with democracies tends to do that to you. Again, it's part of the RP.
>Stand against Malta - Against the leadership. Most, if not all, of the RP focused around the faction involves conflict with the leadership (NC, Legion, Cross in the past, etc.). It's the main identity of the faction, and drives it. If it's hypocritical inRP, then so be it. It's not meant to be perfect, but as a representation of what the faction has been melded into.
>Have Corsairs - I don't get on you about seemingly knowing everything about OC lore. Don't get on me about having a Cretan in my Maltese Republic. It's not uncommon, anyway. Read the old rumors from Trafalgar if you want a neat history lesson (Romeo and Juliet in FLVanilla was a neat touch).
EDIT: >Buy Rapier on a tagged vessel in front of Malta. Only to be destroyed by an insane player. - That wasn't me, but was a new faction member of mine that, from what I was told, was automatically engaged upon undocking after making his character. I wrote it off as a one off situation, but meh. Don't expect the RoM to avoid Malta at all costs. We need a place to acquire ships as well, and Malta is where the OC restart places you.

doesn't matter. still impacts your presentation as an effort for trying for OFL.
I'm glad it comes from and Official Faction Leader (and Dev) whos 1 or 2 posts were removed from this thread in order to keep the "infopage feedback" thread civil and actually on-the-topic.
Reading our proper feedback thread will also show you that it's already been talked about.

So. That...comm. You probably heard enough remarks that it wasn't the brightest idea. So I'll do the same in a short version, and hopefully clarify it to you why on Discord. You have it, please use it so this thread ain' bloated no more.
Let him portray his faction however he wants. If he posts memes as genuine RP, then let him. Who knows where the faction will end up if he doesn't.
On a more specific note, I'd ask that if you're seriously going for officialdom, then you may seriously want to seriously focus on adhering to some kind of regulatory system. Serious factions, potentially like yours, benefit from looking past the player and at the RP, and it genuinely, seriously helps a longing unofficial obtain official status.
We're also not cardboard cutouts. Sportsmanship is a rarity, but here it counts for something.
