I would reply to the Wellesley's Captain's message, but I'm unfortunately occupied enjoying the company of the second of her Majesty's servants found enforcing this measure. A fiesty one, she is. But don't worry for my safety; I knocked her teeth out beforehand to prevent a biting incident.
Let me tell you, piloting isn't her only talent! I'll be sure to send the relevant section back to New London when I'm finished so you can try for yourself.
We're keeping the rest of the aggressor for the crew, of course.
Memo - Defence Minister Lord James Ralston to Prime Minister Mountbatten Wrote:George,
I'm afraid that I must pass on reports from the Admiralty that BAF forces are currently greatly overstreched. Whilst I admire your bold efforts in defence of Orkney, and admit that establishing our control over the system would be of great strategic benefit, Fleet Admiral Nelles regretably informs me that we do not currently have the manpower in Tau to enforce any large scale blockade, due to forces being tied down in Leeds and Tau 31. I can spare a few privateers and auxilliary forces from our MacDuff Fleet to maintain a nominal force and help defend our sovereignty, but we do not have the forces required for any kind of actual blockade at this juncture. I therefore request that the blockade be suspended pending the outcome of negotiations. We can, however, maintain light patrols to help keep a visible presence there, and I will work on bringing up a sizeable part of the MacDuff Fleet to our base in Tau 23 in anticipation of the possibility of their being needed upon the outcome of the negotiations which I beleive Lord Canning is taking care of.
