Hanako turned her gaze from Ling & Yoshi at the bar, looking to Hanako and listening to her greeting and offer, glancing to the bottle of gin for a moment before back to her, she smiled a bit, her eyes holding no judgement.
"I appreciate the offer, though I would rather not delude my senses while tasked withe safeguarding our sisters. I am glad to see nothing has happened to you in my absence."
Hanako grinned. "I like to think that the fine Bretonian drink named Gin actually increases my senses. Or maybe dulls the unwanted ones. Like having the urge to space half of the attendance present." She took a sip before continuing.
"I wouldn't exactly say nothing has happened to me though. I sort of started a war with the Dragons and the Matriarch in her infinite wisdom thought it smart to make me a Commander. Still unsure which of the two decision has been dumber" she laughed lightly.
"What about you Hanako, where have the currents lead you in your absence?" The question was asked in a friendly manner yet there was a slight hint of an inquisitorial tone in it.
I hate being late... but this had to be done. Thought Drake as he walked up to the Cargo depot. I've got two thousand units of Liberty Ale for you as demanded you may unload it from my transport now. With that being said Drake turned around and headed to the festival. Entering the Central Hall Drake was greeted by the guards who let him through to join the festival, a large crowd of people around from Sirius was in front of him. Where are the others? Hopefully, I am not the only Hacker here. thought Drake as he lit up a Zigarette while heading to the bar. Drake has dressed fancy as always, wearing a grey coat a grey suit under it. While ordering his drink he checked out the surrounding people for familiar faces. Thinking: Time to have some fun and relax.
The Lane Hacker Assassins
"Killing the corporate weenies, so our kids can live in a free and just galaxy."
Hanako returned to a neutral expression, scanning the room as Hanako spoke, returning her gaze to her when she finished. She held great disdain for anyone who openly mocked the Matriarch, especially a servant. She picked up on the underlying tone of the question, nearly rolling her eyes.
"Not to the bottom of a bottle, I can assure you."
Yoshigahara had to grin, she was entertained more than she expected to be. Maybe it wasn't a bad idea to join this otherwise for her uninteresting festival.
"Silence And celebrations tend to clash, but I wasn't speaking about the overall silence. But about silence of uninvited guests, troublemakers and whatever or whoever dares to disrupt this HOOOOLY festival..." Yoshigahara tried to make that word sound boring, this wasn't her favourite stuff, she preferred action unlike her little sister. Meanwhile bartender brought two more glasses of the same liquid Yoshi has in the first one. "This round of water is on me, hopefully you will like it." Yoshi grinned and pushed the glass toward Hacker. Obviously it was something close to Vodka, instead of water. "Enjoying your time so far?"
Right on time, Ling thinks to himself, checking his watch, then watching Drake walk through the door. From the bar counter, he tips his glass in Drake's direction, an acknowledgment of rank, but also a brag of who was here first.
"And here comes the cavalry of dress code. Your central hall ~may~ be a catwalk for a little bit", he says to the lady at his right.
Hanako smiled at Hanako's jest but her eyes were cold and focused. "Neither to a war alongside your sisters, did they?"
"The Matriarch might have a soft spot for you Hanako but it's also my job to protect her from her kind attributes. Maybe mainly from her kind attributes. Do not mistake her grace with a weakness." she said drily.
As Ling sipped his "water", he couldn't help being impressed. The Sisterhood was nothing like the rumors. Cold, calculated, and defensive gases met him from all corners of the room, especially from the lady who seemed to be politely refusing a bottle of gin. They emanated elite skill in everything they do, right down to their speech.
"How could I not enjoy this? Only the Hackers can approach this kind of finery in Liberty, and your company will surely make up for any unforeseen events here."
Yoshigahara noticed both Hanako girls talking, but cared little to no attention to them at all. Her attention caught yet another Hacker, just the suit revealed his identity.
"Enjoy while it lasts, you never know when stuff goes to crap." Yoshi had to grin, before she took a sip of the vodka. Then she took a deep breath and looked at Drake again. "I must say you guys cannot be overlooked, always up to the finest fashion aren't you? Should we order one more glass for him? Or are you going to leave him standing like that over there."
Hanako watched the jester fool before her, hardly an acknowledgement in her facial expression, she scanned the festival once more, watching Drake for a few moments.
"Yet here I am keeping watch, and here you are insulting the Matriarch openly and threatening your sisters. You're a drunken harlot more obsessed with an old rivalry than your duty. Were it not for the Matriarch's grace you would've never been picked up off the streets to begin with. So who is it that forgets her grace?"
Hanako looked into the woman's eyes, speaking dismissively. "I do believe we are done here."
