Its alright, the new battleship shield has my giddy enough for now. I still cant seem to shake cruise disruptors though... heavy CM doesnt work worth a crap.

that brings up a good point... if it's admin issued, do you still have to pay full price for it or how does that work?

im sure they'll charge you just out of spite, i mean they make us pay 500 million so we can say "i'm official and you're not!" =P

Nomad battleships are a perfect excuse for a ship with a gun that big, punch a hole right through the buggers.

Order really do have some lovely ships, make sure you get the activity up Swiss and keep our butts safe from the Nomads, don't let these ships go to waste.

So...

Assault Dreadnought = Liberty Carrier
Osiris = Liberty Dreadnought
Light Carrier = Assault Battlecruiser
Recon cruiser = Liberty Cruiser
Order Gunboat = Liberty Gunboat

I don't see why it would have to be admin gien when there is a place for it
and a excellent replacement for the Osiris i got bored of looking at for two years.
Submit it ! Oh and change the 40/60 around...

Because there's no way it could be made en mass in rp. It's not just counterparts like you stated. If you're going to compare Liberty, do so with Rheinland. That and the Order is much smaller and already has a bunch of ships. The only other Order ship I'd ever like to see in existance is a light fighter.
The Osiris will never be replaced, as it's the core of the Order and it's in sp etc. etc. Also, due to the nature of the Order, having a "super/secret weapon" type ship would be neat.
But yes, if it's going to be an assault thing, I'd also suggest changing those turret stats things.

dunno if you managed to activate it in OpenSP, swiss - ... but i usually start up weaker than it "might" be - and rather spin turrets forward if it turns out to be needed.

from the OpenSP testing i made ( against nomad battleship NPCs + their escorts ) - the primary main gun ( the lib cruiser forward gun ) can deal with the NPCs all alone almost. - it fires supernova-like once every 4 seconds - draining the battleships shields faster than a bunch of pulse guns - while at the same time not draining any significant energy from the core.

you d get the same effect by mounting around 6 primary turrets on a normal battleship... and thats where the balance lays.. - it currently has 6 turrets facing forward + the gun - making it a decent ( not the best ) anti-cap ship around. - while it has 8 turrets facing backwards - making it a poor choice to make the osiris tactic ( running+firing )

the current setup makes it weaker than other 16 turret battleships that specialize on anti-cap. - and of course ... hitting even a small battleship like the BHG battleship is almost impossible ( unless the other battleship is stationary of course ) - cause aiming the whole ship at a target is very hard.

one option to focus on the anticap mission is...

- add another lvl10 gunslot in the very same location of the other gun - making it a "twin" gun with a single projectile. - that would give the ship a weapon that could fire at large battleships with a dps of 50.000 ( thats around 200.000 / 4 seconds refire )

- spin more turrets forward - maybe 8 / 8 ... so - that - if we take the large gun as around 6 primary turrets... the whole ship could have a front power of ~16 turrets making it equal to other larger battleships.

- create a new gun for the battleships front cannon that might be something like a very long range razor for example ( inefficient in the energy department - but if its a 1600ms razor doing 140.000 damage at - lets say a range of 3.5k - it would be a decent artillery weapon - while unusable against smaller fighters cause the gun cannot spin..


well, i got a lot of ideas how to make it worth its role but not really taking it out of balance.. but so far, we don t even know if we can include this ship.

got no experience with these admin ships yet - i haven t seen the barge yet, - nor the kusari emperor battlecruiser that is actually a battleship.



edit.

from experience with the other order ships - i d suggest it to be a unique ship rather than public. i don t really like such exclusive ships much - but balancing is simply easier for such ships.... and if it was public, it could really become a problem when its used in large numbers ( but on the other hand, the very good liberty cruiser isn t spammed much either.... nor is the dragon cruiser )
