We apologise for the Narrator ship being too close at first and a target for one of the fighters
- there was no time to swap to a camera ship as it was one of the players who stepped out due to a player missing
THE SAULX SKIRMISH Conclusion
HEROIC SACRIFICE OF THE MAQUIS!
Gallic Navy scores their first major victory since formal unification
The Maquis looters were caught with their pants down - not expecting a fight but an easy wreck raid, half of them weren't ready for battle even with the arriving reinforcements.
Their backs against the wall when The Gallic Navy force arrived, their secret base about to be revealed because of the, as they now found out, unfortunate position of the Saulx wreck - The Maquis heroes had no other option. All they could do was to fight and lure the attacking force away from Chambery Base.
They succeesed in their last ditch effort to save Chambery, and drew the atackers all the way to a large graveyard of Kusari and Gallic ships. Location of their vital base remains a secret, but they paid a dear price for it - their ships. All got critically damaged, most didn't make it except for the manueverable escape pods that got lost inbetween the massive clouds of Debris they lured Gallic Navy into.
The Gallic Navy scored their first big victory under their new banner
Maquis Saved Chambery Base's location by Luring Navy away from it mid-fight
And didn't leave empty handed afterall - A Maquis captain apprehended an officer's safe aborad Saulx, and, perhaps being realistic - placed it in his escape pod at the first warning signs of The gallic Navy. Saulx Wreck will no doubt now be guarded and/or towed back to Gallic forces, but at least The Maquis didn't leave emtpy-handed.
Congrats to Gallic Navy side for the win, and Maquis ships will share the loot from the officer's safe equally.
-seems like we sent to an extra guy, or a random person just got shot :]
Hopefully you enjoyed the event - it was the first one in Gallia proper for many of us between native factions.
any feedback is welcome.
