It is stated that individual nomad minds are "immortal" in the sense that they are always downloaded from the mindshare into new ships, and yet at the same time, you mention many nomad "generations" suggesting that new nomad minds are constantly being created.
If this were the case, then an increasing population with no deaths would imply that the number of nomad minds has been and will continue to grow exponentially and indefinitely, until they reach an infinite population. This seems somewhat strange, as I would have expected that there must be some constraints on the nomad population - if they are immortal AND growing in number, then does this not imply that they will soon overwhelm humans with sheer numbers?

For dreamers, it states that it takes multiple generations for any nomad to achieve dream state....Uhm. Sooo. That means...well, I'm going with either A: individuals live through multiple generations...or B: you mean meat body generations, which implies there are between states.
I'm pretty sure, though, that generations is a very poor term to use in the context of the nomads, when minds outlast bodies, and are immortal(ish)
Thanks for the constructive and usefull post, =MC=:)
@ LeMaitre. Correct. Just look at the Mindshare as a big mean super duper epical monsterlike computer. Eventualy it will fill up ofcourse. But we'll see what happens then. Shouldn't be for atleast a few <enter huge number here> years.
@ Unselie : True that. Generations might not be the best word to use but it is atleast an understandable one. And, to awnser your question, it's the mind that 'matures'. Just think of human generations. 30-35 years, something like that.
Wow, this is amazing. I only skimmed through it, but now I know more about the Nomads than ever before.
Ummm...feel free to say "no" to this, for a may sound a bit rude, but...I noticed many references to the Nomad Overview by Chris Todd (it's in my sig by the way). Could I...possibly...get some sort of credit for this because I believe I was the one who first found this on Lancers Reactor and brought it over to Discovery.
If this is rude in any way, I apologize, but this just ran through my head and I just had to ask.

Also, Japanese correction: "Za Aoi Ichi" is a very literal translation of The Blue Ones. A more natural phrase would be "Aoi Hitotachi" ("the blue people").
We awe vewy vewy sowwy...we'll fix it as soon as we can.

It's not rude, not sure if Yuri actually had it before you mentioned it on disco because we started to write the Lore before you did. I'll check it with him and see if he's okay with it. Shouldn't be a problem to add you if he picked it up from here.
Edit: Talked it over, we'll add your name in the credits when we publish the next version of the lore, it would be more useful and credible if you actually contributed with something aside from just linking, but either way, you made our job slightly easier with it.
