' Wrote:Kusari sound pretty damn amazing, I have to say. But I can't say that I hate the idea of Rogues, especially since I'm very comfortable with their ZOI and some of the ships that they fly. I'll do a quick read of your space and see what I think. I'm reading up on the Black Dragons right now.
Glad to hear you're interested. If you have any questions or want to know more, give me your Skype (if you have one) and I'll get you in our chat room.
Otherwise just ask away and I'll answer anything I can here.
Pipboy, I've seen you around and I'll keep you in mind. I don't have Skype right now, but I'm going to install it as soon as it applies. Not only did I want to be a hacker in the game, I'm a security tech in real life and I like to keep my computer as slim as possible with as few security holes as possible. I'll definitely install it and secure it when it applies, however. Any questions I have, I'll address to you in PM, and I'll let'cha know when I start my Kusari quest.
I am happy with the RP we are doing at Order| , we usually have weekly unplanned RP events (expedition trips or manhunts or something similar), we usually get BHG / Keepers on our scope so we have the chance to blend the RP into PvP as well if needed (RP is preferred but not always happen).
Well, Minor is a bit populated like Liberty from time to time but I can talk for Order| and I believe we are polishing our RP abilities daily, especially since we switched to invite only system, first evaluating the RP abilities of a player before asking or accepting him/her to join.
Well, of course if you are interested in an unlawful character more, Order is not for you since our agenda is different. Though we are considered as terrorists over all Sirius (mostly), we are lawful in reality.
' Wrote:From personal experiance, there seems to always be somehting going down in rheinland, it's got embargo breakers and has a major smuggling route running through it, we got Wilde, librety invaders, Corsairs and Outcasts and haz SHF's [/RFP Advertising]
the Unioners and LWB, or RHA would have heaps of stuff to do, since thyre either fighting the BHG or the sair's and with the temporary major route between bretonia and Rhinland there would be a nice amount of traders passing through
so Mr.S, i'd have to disagree with your contention that Rheinland is boring, since librety is so populated with lawfull and unlawfull forces, i't would be hard to find a job, but i don't know, since i dont often visit librety.
Howabout Rye join a Gallic faction? like les vampirs? it's full of nifty ships and open RP, lawfull or not
Oh no doubt, Rheinland can be great fun when theres something going on, but it has its downtimes, and said downtimes are something you seldom see playing as a Libertonian. I've no experience of the Gallics or their ways, of the houses that I have played though, I'd say A. Play as a Junker, B. Kusari Naval Forces, or C. Liberty Unlawful. Rheinland Lawful or Unlawful is a close contender for that 3rd place, but the downtimes can kill it for you.
I thinks somewhere in your first post you said you applied for HF? I ddn't see an application in the recruitment thread O.o
Anyways, HF is like Lane Hackers, but we're a more militarised version, we have our own ID, since in 4.85 the LH ID changed further away from our roleplay ideals, since we are an ex wing of the Liberty Navy, staying with the LH because it suits us both.
HF are pretty active, we had six people on at the weekend on both days, and sometimes we can muster four to five on weekdays. But meh, perhaps your just on in the wrong timezone, we're usually on at 8 PM GMT.
They give us shelter, we keep the Navy out of Magellan.
If you want fast ships... Well, we got our own line of fast ships and the BW line.
(Oh, on a side note, if you want a ship that looks exactly like your dagger, flies exactly like it, yet has much more firepower, try the Scimitar, it's sold on Mactan and is the MkII version of the Dagger. With it's class five turret, which roughly equates to another class nine gun, it's not short on that either, and that's almost as much firepower as a Heavy Fighter (Just missing one class nine gun). It just turns a bit too slow for a LF.)
EDIT: Ah, now I see. You did reply, I just missed it because you did it last night after I checked it, and I only woke up just now.
Even though I decided to go with the Rogues for now, I hope that other players that are having problems choosing a faction because of similar reasons can check out this thread and figure out what's what. Good work everyone.
Sorry that I didn't give you the same window that I gave the LH, SevereTrinity, I was getting impatient. I certainly don't blame HF, nor hold it against them. The LH? That's a different matter. My character is going to have some memories about waiting in the Mactan bars with nothing but Cardamine to keep him company. But ya, I've seen the Scimitar, and I've been wanting to get my hands on it for awhile, but I wanted to abide by the rules of the LH to keep my options open until now. I plan on takin' a few of them ships out for a spin once I achieve the proper rank.
Now, time for me to get all crazy. 'Gonna have to work that into mah character. Heh, I feels it already.
The problem lies with the disturbing faction/indi ratio that's resulted from the influx of new players due to ever increasingly better mods.
If one can simply buy ones self a battleship and go pwn, why bother wasting your time being a faction-noob for months? That's the mentailty.
For those who DO want to get heavily involved in factions, I always reccomend rather than thinking "I want the faction that will do the most for me..." instead considering "what faction can I do the most FOR?"
Or my mentality, "What is the Faction I can do the most with"
But in the short time that I've been here, I've noticed the same thing as you. I don't understand why those people keep playing though. It's not like the missions are invigorating. PvP can't be THAT great unless it has a reason. I just don't get it. I suppose I'm one of the few, though, considering the ratio you've mentioned.
I hope anyone reading this thread picks up on this and becomes a worthwhile member of the server. I won't say like me, because I'm not yet, but at least I'm working on it!
' Wrote:We'd love to have you in the Black Dragon Society (Hogosha). There is really complicated and deep RP in Kusari and it's a lot of fun. We're currently in a war with Bretonia so there is always plenty of action to be had, and our RP is fascinating, exciting, and there is always something new going on.
Let me know if you want more info or if you're interested.
The Hogosha are underplayed and one of the potentially coolest factions in the game. Just my two cents. When I stepped aside with my troubled brow for awhile, I played a Hogosha and if I wasn't a Junker that's what I would be.
Hope you find what you are looking for. If it isn't there, build it.
P.S. I won't plug the Junkers as I am biased;)
